Let him choose a little friend to come and play on Saturday or Sunday for an hour or so, have him select a different one the first few times, then if he wants the same child twice you might let him have 2, or take him and another boy to the movie, McDonalds, somewhere like that and let the set together and develop a bond, a good place to meet good kids is church and SS also. I work at a school and I always tell kids to include the new girl or boy in a way the new kid don't know i put them up to it, so his mom might call the school and inform them he is struggling. good luck to him!

It's really hard. Kids really miss their old comfort zone.

Set up e-mail or mail letters to old friends in San An. Fill time up with afterschool programs like karate, sports, or even chess. Maybe even dance if he likes it.

The point is to get the kid out and involved and interacting with peers, instead of at home feeling sorry for himself.
