It's one of many versions and that's why above all eles you need to monitor kids online as much as you do everythign eles you watch them do. I tricked my best friend into meeting "me" at a night club once her parents took the computer after that. Sad but true some people are just sick

I don't really understand where all the fear is coming from. The Mayans Calendar, which is not predicting the end of the world in 2012, but the start of a new era on December 21st, 2012. The year 2012 marks the end of the "Great Cycle." When it came to mathematics, time and calendars, the Maya were geniuses. Believing that time repeated itself in cycles. Many ancient civilization had predicted apocalypse over thousands of years, from the Book of I Ching to Nostradamus, and the Native Indians to even the Holy Bible all predicted that the world will come to an end. However, we as humankind are still around today waiting for that "doomsday" to happen. All predictions are open for different interpretations, and every few years some lunatic is going to flip through some old pre-historic predictions and exaggerate it based on his/her own interpretations. Once your mind starts to persuade you into thinking that apocalypse is going to happen, you would honestly start to believe that it is really coming.

Or she could have had her team's photo posted in the local newspaper with names underneath the photo...proud parents love to clip those photos out and post them on the fridge, dance recital photos, scout photos, school play photos all with the kid's name on them...And guess what? All anyone has to do is take the newspaper article to the local newspaper office and ask about the child...then all they have to do is go to the local library and look up all of the residential properties in that town and find the exact address for that child's last name...This has been going on since BEFORE the internet.

This is sad but so true. You don't know who you are talking to on the internet. People are so gullible and believes what people say on the net (even adults). People should be very careful and not give out any information about themselves.

go to http://www.cybertipline.com and report online predators..

Thanks for getting this info out there...

wow if this is a true story then its pretty crazy how it wasnt some strange guy tryin to get in her pants.. i was gettin scared half way through the story. i mean its pretty crazy how so many young girls today believe that they are talking to kids their age when they could possibly be a predator. Im only 17 and i still delete unknown people when they add me and it happens to me a lot..if i dunt know them in person i delete and block them from my msn. A few times its happened that ppl add me that i dont know and i get scared because i dont know who they are and what they might do.. Thankz a lot for your story..pretty amazing!!

I'm pretty sure that police officer could have approached her in a less scary way, just to let you know.
And I found that story a bit ridiculous. o___o
See?! Online kids like me don't really care about this stuff, we just wanna go online and talk to people, because adults somehow seem to think that we're giving out every detail of our lives to people when we really aren't.
