Pregnancy & Parenting - 4 October 2006

I am 25 weeks and have a hepatic adenoma. It is the size of a golf ball. Everything I read says that there is risk of rupture in the third trimester. Anyone know of this?

I went to the gynocologist office on monday because I knew i was pregnant, My period is over 2 weeks late and i was testing positive on at home pee tests. So the pee test at the doctors office comes back positive , by my caculations and the doctors I should be 6 weeks along, then he did the ultrasound and the baby is looking to be only 3 weeks along?, Any thoughts, thinking the baby may be small or just not developing, anyone ever had this experience or heard of it?

I've always gotten them, not too often though, but with my 1st pregnancy I had them a couple of times, but it seems with this pregnancy (25 weeks) I have been getting them quite often, especially here lately...what really causes them and what are some home remedies?

I am 11 weeks pregnant and have had a terrible headache since last night. It woke me all night and is still here. I am also unable to keep anything down. I have had nausea and vomiting, but not like this. I was always able to control the vomiting, but today I ahve no control, and anything that goes in is coming up. Is this just another symptom, or should I be concerned about something. Please don't answer if you're going to tell me to go to my doctor. If I think there is a problem of course I will go to the doctor, I just want to know if there is reason. I have an appt in 3 weeks.

My wife and I, both 31 yrs old, are freaking out about the idea of having a baby. But we also fear about one day regreting not having any... But who wants to have a baby just because you fear you might regret? ... follow my drift here?! we're very lost. Anybody can help w/ advise? (I should mention that we are both immigrants in USA, with no family base around us...)

I had NO clue that the BC pill could cause early abortion. I'm so totally disgusted and appauled at the pact that Doctors and Teen Clinics force these pills on girls and woman without letting them know what it really is. Was anybody else in the dark about this? I'm so freakin' pissed that this happens and it's hidden.

I have asked some questions before about pregnancy. Now i have another one. I have been farting more than usually. Also i have missed a period. I havent had a period none this past September. I used the restroom(pooped) like four times out of one week. I do have good bows, but not like this. I also, have been getting this cramp feeling, but not to where i cant stand it. I dont have cramps when on or about to come on either. So, therefore, that is unusual for me. My nipples are a little sore. I have to actually took them to see if they are. So, they arent sore to the point where if my shirt rub against it, it hurts. its not at that point. But, its where, if i was to just check them or whatever, I feel a little tenderness. Could it still be a possibilty that im pregnant?

I'm of course at the age where they want to test for down syndrome and other factors which makes me nervous. Isn't there any other test that can be performed that don't cost an arm and a leg to determine any deformations in my baby?

My 18-month-old has a cold which always affects his sleep. He woke up an hour and a half early this morning (5:30 a.m) and was miserable but wouldn't go back to sleep. He fell asleep easily for his afternoon nap which normally lasts for 2-3 hours. He woke up crying after only an hour. This happend yesterday and I got him up but he was unbearable all afternoon. My question: would you just let him cry until he goes back to sleep? My only option would be to leave him in his crib because he never falls asleep by rocking, bottle, laying down with him, etc. Do you have this problem when your child gets a cold?

I go to bed late, i guess i like to play on yahoo answers and relax after i put my two year old to bed. i have gotton between5-6 hours of sleep the past two weeks. I am soooooooooo tired. how much sleep do i need? what health problems may I be causing myself? my husband does the same-but he plays the video game thing(non flashing) for relaxing and he has epilepsy-that makes me nervous.

I had a c-section about 7 months ago, and I still have pain in the area as well as numbness. Also, If I walk too fast, it feels like my pelvic bones are too far apart or something. It's very hard to describe but it's extremely awkward. I'm in great shape and lost all my baby weight so I'm not sure what's going on.... Any thoughts?

My 5 year old son asked to take dance class so I signed him up for a 13 week session of hip hop at a community centre. He went to 3 classes and seemed to enjoy it, he liked showing off his new steps that he had learned. Last weekend, he didn't want to go. I was having a rough day so I didn't push it, told him it was ok (we would have been late anyway, and I didn't want to fight him). Then yesterday,he comes up to me and says "By the way, I don't want to go to dance class anymore" I tried to ask him why, and he just said "it's no fun". Should I push him to go to the remaining classes since he asked for them in the first place (teach him a lesson about not quitting, finishing what you start)? or just move on?

If a female's egg is fertilized and the pregnancy ends with a miscarriage, does that raise the possibility that the male partner is sterile, or is that not possible because fertilization occured? Hello, my baby is almost 1 month old now. He wakes me up about every 2 hours at night when he's hungry. At what agedo babies start sleeping for longer periods when they are breast fed? When will I be able to mix a little rice cereal in with his breast milk?
