According to this website, about 50-80% of women who have tubal ligation reversed eventually become pregnant and approximately 1 out of 200 women who have had tubal ligation get pregnant later ("accidently")... so apparently it isn't as permanent as we all think!

Having your tubes tied is not 100% effective is preventing pregnancy. Your physician should have told you that. While the ODDS are extremely small--it becomes a huge matter if you beat those odds.
Best of luck...

Maybe you're just stressed. I personally only know one person who got pregnant after a tubal. Come to find out, the doctor only cauterized the tube on one side. The other side he cauterized a leg muscle by mistake. They discovered this after she had the surprise baby and went to have yet another tubal. Yikes.
Good luck to you.

I think my neighbor is... she had her tubes tied 8 months ago... She is 2 weeks late!
There are two type of tying your tubes..... the temporary that lasts about 10 years (but who know it could come undone early) and the cut, tie, and burn.

My aunt got pregnant after she had her tubes tied. She already had four girls and ended up having another.
But it worked out pretty well though - she sued the doctor and hospital for malpractice.
