ok i have struggled with this quite a bit....and here is my answers i ahve always had bad luck with jobs and had to qiut all of them primarily because i have babysitting problems or my son gets sick but primarily babysitting problems....basically because they are either not available or i don't trust them.Recently i had the job of my dreams and not trying to be cocky i was so damn good at my job and everybody kept on telling me how great i was... then all of a sudden my babysitter started flaking on me and i started missing work and eventually i got terminated becuase i had miss 2 1/2 weeks straight of work!! well then my husband told me how come you don't stay at home and take care of our son instead of going back and forth with your jobs... and i know its hard when you don't make a lot of money or your a single mom, or your husband does not work ..i know there are so many different positions in life that could make it so hard for you!!! but i am now a stay at home mom my husband makes pretty good money but i still miss work and i hate it that when i am at the store and i see something that i like and want i go ahead a dn reach into my purse and i have no money... that is the only thing i hate asking my husband for money it reminds me of asking my dad for money! So whatever is your struggle in life i say if you can afford staying at home and being with your kids do so even though it means taking some sacrifices but it is worth it because you are spending time with your children! you knwo now and days when we can be so wrapped up in work that it is hard to give our kids some att. hopefully this will help you in any way and good luck!

I wanted to stay home w/ my son & found a way to do it !

From the time my son was a year old until he was 3 yrs. old I babysat a friend of his ( I charged $ 7.00 an hour &
had the parents bring all the childs needs ).
Then when he turned three I worked @ the day care he went to, until he was five.
Once he turned 6 yrs. old I found a catering job @
a nearby school, it pays $9.00 an hour, I work while my son is @ school , I get home before he does & I'm off
when he's off, besides I can collect unemployment
during the summer when we are off.
It's not the best ( money wise) , but for now it works .

hope this info . can help someone & take care

I've always been lucky and had my mom watch my older 2 kids when they were babies. Now with my third being 10 months old, it's nice staying home, but I really miss working lol. I'm trying to get a part time job now, just to get back in the world and for financial reasons. I'm a believer in daycare, but not till they're able to at least walk. I think it's good for them, to learn and play and socialize with other kids.

I work monday through friday 9-5, my child is 11, she is involved in a lot of school activites especially after school. Like field hockey games 2x a week and practice every night from 3:45-5:15. I end up showing late for her games, and practice, getting totally stressed because i have to work all day then she comes home with a list of something she need for school and we have to run out and get it, then run home prepare dinner help with home work, fold laundry, take the dog out, vacuum and straighten up, clean up dinner, try to get 10 min quailty time with her, tell her to get a shower, by that time its time for her to go to bed and i'm too exhausted to relax in a hot tub. I really hate it, i wouldn't mind working 2 days a week to get out of the house and bring extra money in, but 5 days 9-5 is just too hard. And this is the number one reason i have been going against having another child, thats pathetic. It's just hard, its the hardest job in the world, being a mom, so why can't we get paid for it, ha ha.

I am a stay at home mom of 3 girls, and It is harder than when I worked. It is non stop cleaning, cooking, and refereeing.

I love it though, why have kids and pay someone else to raise them,if you can afford not to.

My husband stays at home with our son at this time. I don't mind to go out to work while he stays home with him.

Now if he got a job making more than I do.... Then I would love to stay home with him.

lets not say if...

but when my husband is making enough money to support myself, our two children, provide groceries as needed, clothes as needed, entertainment as needed, then yes i plan to stay home.

problem is, i like to spend money on my kids. take them places, get them toys, have them in extracirricular activities. so that's not possible right now.

but yes, at some point I will be staying home full time and loving it!

except when all of them are in full time school. then i'll probably do something part-time. i can't stand being alone in an empty house. it drives me insane.

I retired but my wife is still working....now I am the overweight, unkempt "housewife" who never does the dishes and doesn't have supper ready on the table. I put my time in though, and my pension pays the bills, so i've earned it. I help the boy with homework and drive him to and from school, and watch him during the summer.

I don't have a kid, and my wife work but ya! If I have a chance to retire early to have a family to fool around you know I'll be a home body with my kids.
