Start by finding out how regular your menstrual cycle is.
Every month record when you start you period.
Count the days from one beginning of a period to the next. Have a few months worth for reference.
Once you figure how many days your cycles is, you can go online ( link below ) and check when you are most fertile. Have sex the few days before your ovulation, the day of and a the day.
The best sexual position for conceiving is laying on your back with your rump higher than your midsection. After sex stay laying down for a while.
Repeat monthly. If after 6 months you are still not pregnant, consult your doctor. There could be an infertility problem.
There are also ovulation tests you can use to test when you are ovulating. Though if your cycle is regular or close to regular charting it online is a free and effective way.

there are several things you can do:
1. have sex everyday or every other day!
2. wait until your ovulation days which usually occur 10-14 after the 1st day of your last menstrual cycle giving the sperm time to build up so that it will travel faster to the egg and be more stronger than weak sperm.
3. go to see a specialist
4. get tests done on you and your mate to make sure you both can reproduce
5. use an ovulation kit or the BBT kit to detect your most fertile days

You can get these test sticks in the Drug Store that test for Ovulation, You could try that to pinpoint when you're ovulating, usually around day 14 in a regular 28 day cycle and then get down to Business with your Guy. If that doesn;t work after a few months, then I would make an appointment with the doctor to see if anything is amiss.

I read to take Robotussin,it thins your cervical mucus and helps sperm get to the egg easier. Do this wheny our ovulating, buy the test strips online and usually they are cheap, and come with pregnancy strips as well...
Put a pillow under your butt after sex and lay there 30 minutes. Make sure to have sex every other day.

The two of you should see a fertility specialist. They will conduct tests to see if there are any problems with your reproductive organs. They may be able to recommend medication to help increase your fertility if that is an issue.
If they find that you are both normal, then you can chart your period and determine when you are most likely to conceive.

Everyone keeps telling me to get drunk...
Hasn't worked yet... are you keeping track of your cycles? You can buy pee sticks that will tell you when you're ovulating and they're pretty cheap.
