I have a 5 year old son who is interested in modeling, he has won a pageant before and we recently took him to a model search and he was picked. however they asked for money to start advertising him-shouldn't it be free until they get paid for getting hom a job?? also, does anyone know of any good places to get started in child modeling or pageants??? I live in PA.

Lately i've been thinking that I really need to make the change and move him to his room but every time I think about it I'm nearly in tears, I don't know if i can handle him not being so close. Is there anything I can do to make this easier for me?

I have many signs of an early pregnancy (missed period, nausea, etc.), but I keep taking the tests and they are all showing up negative. I was wondering if anyone knew what might cause this?

My friend had it happen to her, she took three tests, all negative, so she went to the doctor concerned about her missed periods and he told her she was pregnant.

My baby will be 3 months on the 2nd of Oct. and when he sleeps, he will get out of the swaddle, and squirm a bit till he's laying on his side, then he'll go back to sleep... When we try to put him back on his back, he has a fit.. Is this unusual, and what about SIDS.. I am going to call the Dr. about it, but right now I just want another mothers or fathers opinion....

like i understand why you do, but how do you know when your ovulating? if you knew when your were than you could just plan to not have sex when your ovulating and then you wont get pregnant so how do you know?

I already have 14 year old boy/girl twins. My son and I are very close. We like the same music, the same movies, and share the same sense of humor. My Dtr is very independent. She likes a very different style of music and movies, etc..... and she is kind of a loner. ( ok, I know she's 14 and they all are moody at that age) I am now pregnant again and just found out it's a girl - keep in mind that I am remarried and the father is different than the twins dad - I can't help but felling a little disappointed. I love my daughter and loved having a little girl to dress up all cute and fix her hair, etc..but as they got older I find my son closer to me now......what can I do to bond better with this new little girl? PS: my son is also alot more supportive about the new pregnancy than my Dtr. She doesn't even like to talk about it or go over names.....she says she just doesn't want to baby sit all the time.

She isn't a bad mother. She didn't use to be. Now all she does is sit on Yahoo Answers berating people. And she is always holding a rose and smelling it and burning a charcoal grill and smelling the fumes. She doesn't even cook on it.

She knows it's not healthly for her or her baby, and she has tried to stop she went 2 days with out smoking but gave in on the 3rd day.

My son has joined a theatre group to act and to write reviews of high school plays. This group requires that he provide them with his own email address. We, the parents, have a rule that only emails from people we know can come to his email inbox, so we put each email as we know it on his approved list. The critics group says they cannot provide a list of all the possible emails they'll write from and our son's email account should be unrestricted.

While this critics circle is a great opportunity, with winning reviews published in a national paper, I am puzzled by their insistence that our son's email account allow unrestricted acess from any emails so that they can write him whenever they wish. The spam we've gotten on our own email accounts is shocking - the pictures are highly explicit and the language about incest and underage stuff is just gross.

I think as a parent I must stand my ground, but it looks like he won't get to participate if I do. Any suggestions?

You know that game where you try to knock a walnut out of someone's mouth, and the first one to do it is the winner? I was playing that with my 17 year old son and 5 year old daughter and we had an accident. My wife doesn't like when I play this game because she says it's too rough. My son is 20 months old and climbed out of his crib yesterday after I put him down for his nap. He didn't climb out last night. That I'm sure is coming. My question is should I buy a toddler bed or go with a twin size bed? I just hate spending all that money on a toddler bed when they don't stay in it that long but the twin bed seems so big. What addvice can you other parents that have gone through this give me? I am not ready for this. My son is growing up to quick for me.

Someone told me to feed him cereal before he sleeps but his doctor told me not to feed him for for six months... could he be waking up earlier because he's ready for food? He's been sleeping through the night since he was 2 weeks ( i know i'm lucky) but now he's been waking up hours before he use to and sleeping more during the day... He's also a lot more cranky with this new schedule. Any suggestions?
