The best time is 14 days from the time you start your period. At least that is when most people ovulate. So if you start your period on the first then you should start ovulating around the 14th. It's right in the middle between ending and starting. For $20 you can go out and buy an ovulation kit. Good luck!

I'm hoping and praying that the person with whom you're trying to conceive with is on board. So I'm going to assume this be the case as if they are not this is not a good idea on your part. Either that or you're trying to avoid getting pregnant.
Ovulation generally occurs around 14 days AFTER the 1st day of your period. Just because that's your most fertile time of the month doesn't mean you can't get pregnant any other time.

Your chances are remote because you are not ovulating. The best prgnancy time is when you are ovulating. That can be calculated exactly. You need to figure out your cycle. If you have never had an OBGYN check up it is a good idea to get one as they keep a check on your general health. Also planned Parenting organizations are a good idea - visit and get information, They will also help you get the best possible birth control plan that suites your purposes, that is presuming you do not want to be pregnant.
If you do want birth control, then you are well advisd to get really in tune with your cycle.
Do not be afraid of professional advice, because the consequences aof being irresponsible are far worse.
I understand how thigs can happen on the moment, byt if you fear pregnancy, let this be a wake up call for you!
http://www.plannedparenthood.org
Every year, 85 percent of women aged 15–44 who don’t use birth control during vaginal intercourse become pregnant. Although the only guarantee against unintended pregnancy is to not have sex, using birth control can reduce your risk of pregnancy from vaginal intercourse. To decide which method to use at this point in your life, think about the answers to these questions:
How well will it fit into your lifestyle?
How convenient will it be?
How effective will it be?
How safe will it be?
How affordable will it be?
How reversible will it be?
Will it protect against sexually transmitted infections?

IF YOU do want to get pregnant then get in tune with your cycle as well AND check your health.

they usually say that the best time to conceive is with in a week of after haveong your period. So if you just ended your period i'd have sex every day for the first week or two of ending your period. Believe me I am a mom of 5 boys and that is what I did and got pregnant everytime. Have you tried taking your basil temp. and charting it. your basil you take before you get out of bed each morning and do it for a month. The day your temperture rises is when you can get pregnant. So try keeping track of your basil temp. for a few months if all else fails. After a couple of months your basil temp. will tell you most likely you will conceive.

i'm a guy not a girl but we have 4 children so i'll give it a try
sperm can live 3 to 5 days (record is 8) so you can start trying about 6 days before you ovulate. If you're regular 28 day cycle, ovulation is about 14th day, so you can start trying from 8th day after 1st day of period. And until the egg dies, which in does in 1-2 days, i.e. around the 15-16th day.
from what you say, it sounds like you are on the right track.
good luck

Before and After your period is the same thing. If you aren't on your period you are after your last period but before your next. About the midpoint is when you are expected to ovulate but some women ovulate early and some late. Yeah there is a chance you could be.

Well, you are most likely to ovulate 10-14 days after the first day of your period. Having said that, are you sure you are ready to bring a baby into your life? You have an open question that brings into question whether you and your boyfriend are really that stable in your relationship...you're not sure if you should trust him. I think you should wait until you have a stable home life and two involved parents to offer before you try to have a baby.

You need to figure out when you ovulate. Most women ovulate between days 13 and 16 of your cycle.
Meaning... the first day of your period is day 1.
If you ovulate on day 13, start having sex on day 11 or 12. (Sperm can live as long as 48 hours) So if you ovulate early, you have troops already in there. Then, depending on what your mans sperm count is, have sex every day, or every other day during your ovulation period.
