Hi ! My son is 7 months old. I've been giving him solids before his milk, as discussed with my nurse, she said it didn't matter if I gave him breastmilk or formula (we do both) first or after the solids. And of course since I see what he drinks when he gets a bottle, sometimes it's not even 3oz. So needless to say, his stools are pretty hard to pass. Poor little guy forces pretty hard. I've tried to nurse or bottle before the solids, but then he won't eat any solids and doesn't take more than 3-4 oz anyway. Should he be taking 5-7oz at his age ? Has anyone gone through this ? Any advice for a first time mom ?

He used to sleep 7hours, since 4 weeks! Now he is getting up after 5, a few times after 3! Is this because I went back to work? Mamma needs her sleep!

my fiancee wants to name our baby girl after someone from star treck or enterprise or spmething like that but i dont want to cuz when she asks where we got her name i dont wanna say a show your father watched...ahhhh these names dont even make sence..HELP please how can i say no to him (he wont be hurtm but im to nice)---advice on other girl names

he seems to know what I mean when I say NO!, but he just goes back and keeps doing it over and over, no matter how many times I say no. He just cries for a second and keeps on. What are some good tactics that I can use to teach him what is acceptable and what is not. Now I know a baby will be a baby, I mean stuff like spitting food all over the place, climbing on certain things, hitting people, etc. any help is appreciated!

My sister told me she is going to kick me in the nuts when i am not expecting it, and laughed. I think she is not kidding because she and most of her friends do it to boys in school.
I told my mother about her threat but she told me that “girls don’t do that” and “grow up and be a man”, and she does not want to hear about it anymore!
That happened to a friend of mine in school, and now he became very withdrawn and never mixed or went out again, he was a very happy outward going guy; I think after that he stopped talking to girls.
I can not be alert all the time, what can I do?!!!

Besides plain water or Pedialite? I'm trying not to give my daughter too much sugar, but what kind of drinks am I supposed to give her? They pretty much all have lots of sugar. She doesn't like plain water, she just spits it out and doctors always suggest Pedialite, but that stuff is so expensive! Any suggestions?

I have a 4 year old son. I am so confused about the clothing sizes. I buy him 4t and they are too big in the bottom and the waist and I buy 4 and they don't fit right either. I know the T stands for Toddler but I don't think he is a toddler. Should I just buy size 4?

OK - if all of my id and insurance is in my current (maiden) name and my fiance and I get married shortly before the baby is born and I don't have time to change all of my documents over, everything will still reflect my maiden name and I assume I would be checked into the hospital as such.

Can I still give the baby my new hubby's last name. Will this cause confusion at the hospital if mom and baby have different last names?

My fiance is out of the country at the moment and so our wedding date won't be until he gets back. It is going to be extremely close to my due date and I'm concerned that it will not give me enough time to get everything sorted before the baby is born.

I know I'm probably being paranoid over nothing, but I don't want any stress at the hospital.

Alright this is going to eat away at me ... Im telling you it is!!! I am yet over 2 weeks late *if my cycle was going to change it would have by now* I feel a weird pressure like feeling in my lower abdomen I feel sick in the mornings *until I eat* I have tender breasts with very sensitive nipples my head kills me every morning when I wake up! I cant stand the smell of fresh cut grass and I hate to even look at peas!! The site of them makes me gag! I am having a lot of back pain lower * which I only had during my first pregnancy and after my son was born * I spend more time in the bathroom that anywhere else and Im always yellin about something!!! I eat all day long and I do mean all day long ... almost every 2 hours Im eating something!! What is going on??? Seriously I dont know what to think.... Still no positive results and still feeling pregnant!!! Ahh Im gonna lose it!!

No smart answers either!!! Im just venting how I feel right now!

Once a woman is pregnant and if the man wants nothing to do with it he no longet has any options and is screwed for 18 years. On the other hand the woman has plenty of options if the pregnancy is unwanted. She can have an abortion, she can give the baby up for adoption, or she can keep it and have every aspect of it payed for with child support. I think if a man finds out he is going to be a father and wants nothing to do with a child he should be able to go to the courts and fill out some forms giving up all right and legal obligations to the child within the first three months of the pregnancy. That way the woman knows up front that she is gonna be doing it alone. I mean that is basically what a woman does when she gives up a child for adoption. Why should it be diffrent for men? They always say it takes two to make a baby, so how come the man gets screwed when it comes to equal rights, concerning the baby? I for one, will never pay child support for a child I do not want.

i Took a pregnancy test (clear blue) it was positive for sure! i have taken like two more at home test went to the clinic and also my doctor for more urine test and they have all came back negative i used to love sprite now every time i drink it it taste like Diet and i am always craving CHINESE ... am i pregnant???
