tell him ever since you were a little girl you wanted to name your girl---------whatever the name-------and that it would mean so much to you if your dream could come true and have the baby girl you always wanted :)

If you really, really don't like it, you guys should look at other names. But if you just don't want to name her after a TV show, why??? Would you rather just tell her she was a name you picked out of a baby name book??? How boring! We named by DAUGHTER (yes, little girl) after a football player and we get told now how beautiful her name is all the time. Her name is Rhett by the way--no not Rhett Butler!

Just be clear and tell him, if you let time go by it would be harder to get this idea out of his head, I agree with you, I would never let my daughter be named after that, no matter how bad he wants it you also dont want that badly so...you are the mama, say what you want, dont give up on this fight (sorry I'm pg and moody today :-) ) here are my sugestions on girl names
Sara, Ella, Emma, Isabella, Karina, Claire, Rachel,
good luck

What is the name? My cousin is Hollin, after a troll in some novel. But I think it's cool, especially a little bit more unique than Holly without being crazy!

I think Uhara would be a good name. Seriously, tell him to grow up. If he is having a child, he has to take responsibility and be mature enough to come up with a good name for the kid. How about Chelsea or Jenni?

Tell him to be a bit more logical. The poor kid's gonna grow up with a name that kids at school might tease him about and he'll end up having low self esteem and won't grow up a successful lawyer. lol

I say compromise with him.. you pick the first name and he picks the middle. So that way he doesn't feel left out. I know that it you probally had names picked out since you were a little girl.. but this is probally very important to him as well.

Grab the birth cert. information when the baby is born and put the baby's name down before he gets a chance to object...and tell him you are NOT dooming your baby to a life of star trek conventions and hours of practicing the "Klingon Language" She's your baby too!

First, what is the name he wants?
Just flat out tell him, um no, I don't like that one.
But if the only reason you don't like it is because it is after a character on television show, you are being petty, it shouldn't matter where it comes from......
