If you mean any kind of alcoholic drink then the answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT!

The first trimester (three months) is statistically the time your new baby is at the highest risk. This means that you should give her/him the absolute best possible chance and that means NO alcohol.

Even after that, it is very unwise to drink any alcohol at all if you can possibly avoid it, but right now your New One has to take absolute top priority. If someone offers you a drink, just say, "No thanks...My baby, you know," and pat your tummy. They'll get it.

It shows you're a caring, thoughtful mum-to-be just by writing in. CONGRATULATIONS and I hope everything goes perfectly and you have a beautiful, healthy, happy baby!

Number one, you are not of legal age to drink alcohol, so that clears up that problem. (She says she is eighteen.)

Number two, no amount of alcohol is safe for consumption during pregnancy, according to me, a health care provider. The very latest research shows that even an occassional drink can be harmful, and can cause effects on the fetus that can not be seen until they are much older, or even when they start school.

Number three, it is important for a young mother-to-be to educate herself as much as possible on this subject and any others pertaining to pregnancy and parenthood. Please sit and have a long discussion with your obstetrician about the do's and dont's of pregnancy. You are responsible for the life of your child now, even if you aren't old enough to be fully responsible for yourself.

They say occasionally is ok and only one but I would say no there is no safe limit. I never drank at all during any of my 2 pregnancies and when I breastfed afterwards I didn't either. What is more important to you? Giving your baby the best health you can or having a drink? It's only 9 months out of the rest of your life and your unborn has no choice what you put in your body.

The studies are NO drinking during pregnancy. You could cause your baby to develop Fetal Alcohol Syndrome which means behavioral issues, facial differences, and possible mental retardation.

For the few months you are pregnancy, just put an olive in a glass of water or a cherry in a coke and no one will notice you are not drinking. But you are pregnant and should be proud of it, telling people no thanks I want to protect my baby.

Creating life is a responsibility!

Absolutly not. Alcohol is one of the few substances that has been proven to pass through the blood to the baby. Excessive drinking during pregnancy can cause fetal alcohol syndrome. Fetal Alcohol Syndrome can in turn cause physical and mental birth defects as well as limit the proper growth of the fetus. Check out this website.

No, absolutely not. It is very bad for your baby. You must give up drinking for a certain period (during pregnancy and also lactation, if you are feeding your baby that way) as it is for the sake of your child. Your child deserves that. Even more, you owe it to him or her. It is your duty as a mother.

Absolutely positively NO!! I am pregnant with my 3rd child and will never drink while I am pregnant. I have 2 very bright, healthy, and happy little girls. I think this is partly because I refused to do anything that will harm my baby. Kids have it tough enough these days, they don't need me to help them get started on the wrong foot. You need to to decide which is more important- your baby or a drink!!!!!!!!!
