I have this wonderful little two year old. She has a sense of humor and a great smile. Usually she is pretty easy going and just loves life and to be with her family. For about a month now the terrible twos has a tendency to creep in. She cries about everything. In the morning, she can pick what she wants to drink- milk, juice, or water. She'll pick juice, then cry when I give it to her. I ask her again what she wants and it keeps on going. Usually she is crying about the things that she has a choice about- the choice is hers and it doesn't matter what she picks. But, after she chooses she has a crying fit, folding her arms, stamping her feet, and shouting "NO!" She is a really great kid but I need some advice on how to make all of our lives easier and happier.

I was almost certain of what I wanted to do and I was building up the courage to tell my parents that I had decided to keep the baby but after talking to my boyfriend he doesn't seem sure he told me that he didn't want any children right now not until we were settled with our lives and careers. I am about 11 weeks pregnant and I am not sure now that I want the baby I grew up with both of my parents and want the same for my child. Do you think that my boyfriend will come to accept the baby if I do decided to keep it?

This is our second child, our first was a boy. He had so many names we liked Dawson, Cameron, Quinton and we decided to go with traditional Joshua Roger, my husband and my father. That seemed so easy! But now we are expecting a girl (by four ultrasounds!) and we are so clueless...Especially because we can't use the tradition that we did with our son. Our female family members are not exactly full of cute names. EX: Penny, L'vonne and Eileen, so we sat down and searched the internet one night. The name Kelsey came about and we love it, we are pretty definite on it...But what about a middle name? Can you guys help? Like I said we are pretty traditional, not into all that Rainbow and Suri like the celebrities, haha

I was thinking about getting an IUD...And I would just like to hear your stories about your expirience with it. Did it hurt getting it? Did it have any effects on you? Overall, how did it compare with your other birth controls that you've tried? Would you recommend it? Please dont tell me to ask my doctor becuase he is a man and has never had it obviously...I just want real stories from women who have had it. Thanks in advance!!!

I tend to like first names that sound like surnames (ex. Maddox) and old fashioned sounding names. I also like english sounding names. If anyone has some ideas for first and middle names that would be great.

My son, Aidyn, is nine months old this week. He is still waking up three or more times a night, and nothing but a warm bottle put him back to sleep. He eats great during the day, takes naps well (even without the bottle), but at night, he won't stay asleep! It's been a year now since I have slept all night, and I am getting very tired... What can I do to help him sleep?

I'm currently 8 months pregnant and so far I've gained 31 pounds! My body doesn't seem to have changed at all -- just bigger boobs and a giant belly. I'm afraid that by the time I give birth, I'm going to have gained 50 pounds. For my height and weight, I should've only gained an average of 25 pounds (so I've read.) Is this normal? How much did everyone else gain during their first pregnancies?

I'm am so sick of this ask Dr. Sears epidemic. Don't these people know that there have been are so many "theories" about rasing children? I mean look at Froids beliefs back in the day--I'm sure as heck not taking advice from him! Why can't we just think for ourselves and do what we feel is right for our children? How can we be so ignorant to tihnk one person holds all the knowledge about parenting and we should follow it like a cult? Am I a bad parent because I don't agree with Dr. Sears? And also--for those people who do follow his teachings, why do you?--I'm not trying to be mean--I just want to know what do you feel is so special about him?

My husband and I are going to try for our first baby soon.

I have been exercising, eating right, taking my vitamins, etc. in order to prepare my body for a baby.

I am worried that I may not get pregnant for a while since I have been on birth control pills for 5 years.

How do I keep myself from being discouraged if I don't get pregnant after a few months?

How do you deal with it?

I know he can me because if I say "want a cookie" he comes runnin, but if I say "dont touch that" HE WILL! If we go for a walk he will run away from me (into traffic) or walk on ppls lawns or everything but listen to me. I'm not sure If he is lactose intolerant or does it on purpose but When he cries really hard he throws up. Usually he is crying so hard he starts coughing and then throws up. Last night it was chocolate milk but I can't remember if he has had milk previous times or not. any suggestions? He has been dignosed with whooping cough but It is only a mild case. He only coughs once a day or not at all. He has had antibiotics a few yeeks ago for it but the doc says it can take 100 days for the cough to disapear. Maybe it's just his cough still???

I am 35 and 1/2 weeks along now my doctor sent me for an ultrasound because I am not gaining any weight. The test showed that my afi is at 8.4. So now I am scheduled for another ultrasound and have to get stress tests done 2 times a week. Which I went to my first one today and every thing was fine. Anyhow what are my chances that the baby will be taken early whether by induction or c-section? Any one have any idea or have been through this themselves? I am a nervous wreck even though I know my baby will be ok if born now.

I've tried everything from no drinks after 6pm to waking her up when I go to bed.
The doctor says there isn't anything wrong with her bladder. In fact, we even had an ultra sound done to check it out.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you.

Of course I'm not trying to start spanking my son--he's only seven months old but when do you think it's the right time to start spanking--as in when do you think it's an effective way to punish a child?

If you don't believe in spanking--this question isn't for you--skip it. If I feel I need to spank my child, I will. I don't want a lecture about spanking. I do think it's an effective way to get a point across, I don't really care if you don't.
