First of all, don't worry, clubfoot is relatively common occurring every 1 in 1000 births. It takes some time to fix but can be fixed well without anyone being the wiser later in life.

Here is an excellent article (with photos) about clubfoot and the treatment for it:

The baby may also have dislocated hips and need double diapering at birth until he/she can have surgery. Baby will need corrective casting and possibly several surgeries. However check this out: it says celebrities born with clubfoot include: Kristi Yamaguchi (figure skater), Dudley Moore, Damon Wayans, Mia Hamm (soccer player), Troy Aikman (football player)! So you see it can be treated successful with no one being the wiser.

my cousin had a baby last november with clubfoot. he has had 2 surgery's so far, the big one was just last month. he is doing much better. for the first 6 months of his life he wore casts that were tight to straighten his feet, then he had his first surgery, clipped his heel chords. he continued wearing casts. the next surggery was reconstructive on his ankles, heels ect. he now has to wear casts with a bar between his feet to keep them turned the right way.

they say that he will probably be 90% in a year or so.

I have a friend who had a baby that had a club foot. They did a couple of surgeries and put a cast on both feet. He's 17 months old and is doing great. Just fine, walking, running, etc......

Someone at work had a baby with club foot around 4 years ago. He had to wear cast/braces for his foot. All normal now.
