I am at the end of my 32nd week of pregnancy and I am 1cm dilated. I had to go to the hospital two nights ago because I started having contraction upon contraction and had to have a shot to stop me from having my baby. However, when I was checked then I wasnt dilated, the next day is when I dilated. How long do you think I will be able to hold that, do you normally progress fast after you start to dilate. I've also heard that once you hit 34 weeks that the doc. wont stop labor. How would I get him to stop it if it starts? because I want my baby to stay in there so he can get as healthy as possible. Sorry I am new at this and was just wondering.

I grew up in a family with 3 kids, I was the youngest with a brother and sister (twins) who were 4 years older. I always felt left out and lonely and didn't like how I grew up. My husband on the other hand was the third in a family with 8 kids, they were all spaced close together. He loves how he grew up and so do all of his siblings. Their only complaint is not being very wealthy and having lots of stuff. I already have 3 girls which are each spaced 20 months apart, just enough to breastfeed for 9-12 months. I've decided to have only two more kids so my kids can experience a more fun childhood, but so we can still afford things. And now that I'm over the overwhelming and hormonal stage of my last pregnancy and post-partum, I find myself wanting to space these last two at 20 months apart also. Is this a bad decision? Are there any reasons why this would cause problems for me or my family? What are your thoughts about my decision? What is your experience?

I have been reading A LOT of books and trying to get as much information as possibe but i think it would also help to speak to some experienced mothers. I am a little nervous about being a mom and i feel like it would help to talk to other people about it...If anyone has yahoo messenger please im me so we can talk =) I would really appreciate it.

I know I am a good mother. Mom of 2 and Step-mom of 2-All live with us. Husband and myself both work full time. Problem is my daughter is 12- in 7th grade-the girls are very catty, and there seems to be different drama every day. Most of it is brought on by their mothers influencing them-they push them to have boyfriends, be on diets, wear makeup. It is wearing me out. My daughter is cute and very athletic, but not really into boys yet, much less makeup. I find myself avoiding being around these other "moms" at all school events, however I always try to walk by and offer a "Hi", and feel them staring at me and talking as I walk off. They talk about everyone. So sick of it. I don't remember this much drama from when I was in Junior High.

My girlfriend and I recently found out that we are going to have a baby. We have decided on Alexander for a boy and Emily for a girl. Can I get some suggestions on middle names, and/or first names (using these two as middles)? Also, Are there any websites that will help match up names if I give them one name? Thanks.

Everytime I put my son down for a nap, if he has a bowel movement he reaches into the back of his diaper and smears feces all over himself.
I don't know what to do! Do other children do this?

a week after the birth of my last baby,i had a very serious headache.the neuron said that a vein or something like that burst in my brain or that i bleeded in the brain , reason being that i pressed too much when i was trying to give birth to my last baby. All the tests and scans carried out on me showed nothing,i also had no paralysis, memory loss or anything related to such ailments.shortly after that i became pregnant again.my neuron adviced me to terminate the pregnancy, saying that it is too dangerous,i refused to do that cause i hate abortion,i believe it is murder and that the child has a right to live.my neuron is also advicing me now to go for a ceasarean section to avoid pushing and pressing/bearing down which i must do to bring forth my baby.what do i do? should i go for a c- section even after series of tests have shown that everything is okay in my brain.if i really bleeded in the brain ,why is there nothing to be seen after all these tests and no accompanying ailments.

my husband and i decided to try and get pregnant. last month was our first cycle. 4 or 5 days before my period was due i started getting terrible cramps, which NEVER happens. i did some research and found that this can be a symptom of implantation. well, 4 days later, i get my period, but it was much lighter than normal. it was more than just spotting, but not as heavy as it typically is. so, for this cycle, i decided to get an ovulation test. yesterday, the test detected an LH surge. but, another strange symptom that i never get at this time of the month are very tender breasts. this normally does not happen until a few days before my period is due, but i am not due for another two weeks, or so. i have not taken a pregnancy test, as i assume i wouldn't have gotten my period if i were pregnant as well as an LH surge yesterday. it is just so frustrating that now that my husband and i decide to try and get pregnant is when my body decided to start changing.

Tomorrow I'll be 5 months pregnant, I had some uncomfortable cramps last night that lasted about 2 hours with pink pee following but no spotting or other cramps. What should I do? I think I have felt the baby move since. I also ate pasta last night that was made from beets (it was gross).

okay...this is how the story goes...

my boyfriend and i were on the phone last night...and....he was telling me he has this female friend thats pregnant {no its not his}...lol...but she has a boyfriend whom she claims is not financially stable enough to take care of a child...soo...she wants to get an abortion...but the boyfriend says no...and her and the boyfriend are not on good terms right now...

well....my boyfriend use to be friends with benefits way before he met me... and he is against abortions and what not...but he told her he is going to go with her to get it done

why did she ask him...he said that they are just really good friends and they talk to each other about their personal problems...yah that fine with me...but...why cant she ask her boyfriend?

she is getting an abortion behind her boyfriends back and im guessing she is going to lie and say she had a "miscarriage"...which is a lie...

my boyfriend asked me what i think of him going...i told him i dont want him to go but you know i cant tell him what to do...

so here is the thing...i dont want him to go...but he said thats his friend and he wants to be there for her...and...i said well you are against this and what not...so why let her do this...she can have it and give it up for adoption...and she wont have anything to do with the child...he said...she wont do that...so what do i do?

im confused.....
