Also ... I have been 1 cm for the past 3 weeks & my ultrasound 3 days ago estimated him at almost 8 lbs already. Not to mention - I am trying to do a VBAC so they WILL NOT induce me!

I was one centimeter dialated for almost a month and I just had my baby 8 days ago and when I went to the hospital I was finally dialated 3 but I was still thick and high so they used some kind of progastlin gel on my cervix and a matter of 20 minutes after they did it and broke my water I had my baby.

I went into labor at only 1 cm dialated. I think thinning can go pretty quickly because I went from 20% to 80% in less than a week.

Each baby come sin his own time. It's an old wives tale the birth go faster with each pregnancy. It does happen for some people, but not everyone. You are obviously in contact with you doctor, he will let you know when another course of action is needed. Otherwise, hang tight. Everything happens in due time.

Get ready because the baby is. Each pregnancy is different and having 19 children I can tell you just relax and wait. It won't be long now.

no it shouldn't .....active labor is what thins the lining of the uterus once it starts it will thin kinda quick.don't rush it it will happen in due time ...if the pressure starts to get to be to much then u need to call your doctor because u could be dilated more than 1.

If there was something to worry about, your doctor would tell you. Just relax and try to enjoy your last week of pregnancy. It's almost over. You'll remember this time fondly later.

I feel your pain. Both of my kids were a month late & I still had to be induced both times.
