I was getting the shot for 3 and half yrs. Stopped 8mths ago and still no period. I want to have a child now and my clock is ticking. I regret ever getting this shot because of all the side effects I have had to deal with. I am afraid that I have ruined my chances of having a child. I had light, irregular periods and two miscarries(never past 3mths) before I began getting the shots. I am also worried about the long term effects to my health, brittle bones, cancer ect. I actually asked a question on the depo issue and the answer , from KC, I chose was very interesting. I guess each case is different and can only advise you to be patient and give your body some time to adjust. Good Luck. Peace2U.

Every woman is different, so it varies. I was on depo for 3 years & after my last shot, I had a 2 week long period, then irregular ones for about 3 more months. Also, took 4 years after to finally get pregnant. Good Luck!

It depends on your own body and how regular (or irregular) you were before using Depo. Normally they advise to stop 6-12months before attempting to get pregnant.
In my case, it was 3 years. Two of those years with infertility treatments. But my case is probably worst case.
Good luck.
