The doctor wants to put him on a daily low-dose antibiotic for 2 months! I'm wondering if others have suggestions on how to reduce his risk of infection.

He's exclusively breastmilk-fed, although he gets it in bottles during the day because I work.

I came on my menstrual Sunday, and it's now Friday. Early Thurday it seemed as if I was off, but than later on that night I was bleeding again. I'm going to see my bf tomorrow and haven't seen him in almost two weeks and we're trying to have a baby, and want to start asap, is there anything I can do to like make it stop? I was thinking running that way it would all come out quicker, but I don't know.

On August 3, 2006, my girlfriend at the time started her period. On August 4, 2006, we engaged in dry sex. We never had sexual intercourse. However, I was naked on top of her while she had her panties on. I'm scared some semen could've got on the vaginal area. We broke up on August 6, 2006. On August 31, 2006, my ex-girlfriend informed me that she had started her period. Is there any chance she could be pregnant? I read somewhere that girls can still have some light bleeding and still be pregnant. However, she informed me it had been a regular period for her. What is your opinion on this matter?

I have to prepare them for school admissions and though they are very intelligent with all the activity that a school might ask them to perform, they tend to clam up and not speak when they see a new person. And being twins and always having each other for company, they do not socialise with other kids. I Try taking them to play areas where other kids play, and they just stand on one side and refuse to participate.

I want to give my 2 year old little girl the world! (If I can afford to) But I have many people telling me that I am setting my daughter up for disaster, and that she will become a spoiled rotten brat! I feel that you can have the best of both worlds. My brother and I were spoiled and we are very appreciative adults. We know the value of a dollar and we are thankful for everything in our lives. My parents were NOT rich. But, my mother made sure we had the things we wished for especially at Birthdays and Christmas time. She would go without things for both of us. I feel that I am well on my way of becoming my mom! And I don't see anything wrong with it. We turned out just fine. However, family and friends think you can't have both. If you spoil your kiddos they will never appreciate things and think that if you want something you should get it. I plan on raising my little one with values, morals and appreciation while trying to give her the best. What do you think?

to lessen the affects of diarrhea? She is 5 months and has just started this tonight. She does not have a temperature. She does not seem sick. I give her pedialite, and took her off of her formula for the night? Is there anything else I can do for her until I can get her into see the doc in the morning? I really don't want to take her to the dirty emergency room, if I can all avoid it. Its already 12:30am here. She would probably get in faster at the doctors office than waiting all night at the hospital.Anything to help her firm up her tummy troubles? I was thinking maybe some rice cereal, but I am not sure. Any advice would be appreciated. Her poor tushy is starting to get a rash too..

I understand maybe when a kid is a toddler, but why do teenagers who drive, who are really independent who have moms who stay home? My little sister's friend's mom does it, and it is kind of weird. She is 16, and her sis is 18 and going to college and the mom still stays at home like they are 5 and 6 years old. Just wondering why this is?

My 4mo baby has torticollis & the physical therapist and orthopedist both told us to keep him in a sitting position as much as we can. So a few weeks ago we started putting him in a play seat, it looks like a walker, but it's not a walker.
For the last week & a half he has only pooped when sitting in that seat. Not when he's laying in his crib, not when we're holding him, not when he has to stay with my dad all day.... ONLY when he's sitting in that seat. If you're a mom I don't have to tell you what kind of mess this makes! But, it's not the mess I have to deal with that concerns me. I don't want him thinking that just because he's sitting in it he has to strain to try to poop. That seat is suppose to be fun, lots of lights & things to look at & play with. I don't know if he thinks he HAS to poop when he's sitting in it, or if the position he's in has something to do with it. He wasn't even 4mo yet when this started, does this mean he's going to be easy to potty train?
I hate not to put him in there to try to make him do it while he's in his crib & then him not poop because we have had a lot of trouble with constipation & if that's what it takes then that's what it takes.
Any comments or suggestions, or just words of encouragement would be appreciated.
Serious replies only please, thanks! :-)
