I got off the pill June 28th, and a few days later had my period July 2-5th. Today is Aug. 5th and still no period. I took a urine test today, and it was negative, at the clinic, they also did a blood test, and I get results tomorrow. Has anyone ever taken a pee test one day and it was negative, and their blood test was positive the very same day? I do have signs, my breasts are tender and I have a lot of gas. Let me know if you have had this happen to you (MY QUESTION IS, PEE TEST NEGATIVE THE SAME DAY YOU TAKE YOUR BLOOD TEST, but your BLOOD TEST was POSITIVE THE SAME DAY YOUR PEE TEST WAS NEGATIVE)

I have been breastfeeding my son almost exclusively for the last 7 months (he is only just beginning to show interest in solids this past week)... and I just started menstruating again. I was a little surprised as my son isn't really on solids yet (only about a tablespoon full of rice cereal a day) and I haven't decreased the number of times that I nurse him really. He feeds on demand and co-sleeps so he still does nurse once or twice at night.

I realize that women generally have their periods resume anywhere between 6-24 months (on average ~ sometimes earlier and sometimes later) but I am curious to know how long it took other women to begin menstruating when still breastfeeding (and not those who were supplementing with formula)? Thank you.

My 6-month old likes to sleep face down and it really scares me. I was wondering if there are any precautions I should take. I am wanting her to sleep in her crib, but I am unsure if this is safe since she tends to roll over and sleep on her tummy with her face down.

no real question. Just sucks. You know you miss a period for whatever reason Stress maybe in my case. And you get your hopes up that hey maybe just maybe you are pregnant. Then your doctor calls and says that the blood test was negitive, and BAM!!! all hope (for this try atleast) are shot down.

Yeah thanks. Just needed to vent. I'm young ( Yeah i know only 21) me and my fiance have loads of time. And, hey look at it this way I wont be pregnant at our wedding ing March!!!

Yay me!! I guess right....

Well, it still sucks!!!

My doctor did not inform me of this. I was told no: caffieene, high murcury fish, unpasturized cheeses, alcohol, OTC meds, exc. I have definitely been eating turkey and cheese sandwiches from the deli! What harm can this cause and how will I tell if damage has been done?

My son is seven months old and eats four meals (two are oatmeal, on stage three food, and a vegtable--he hates fruit) a day, one to two 6oz bottles, and a sippy cup with apple juice. He is a very active and tall twenty-one pound baby. I'm not too sure if this is normal or not. I know every baby is diffrent but I guess I just wanted to see what others say. What were/are your kids eating at this age? Is this normal? My pediatrition doesn't have a problem but what do you think?

My daughter went to school for the first time today and is not happy about it. Her father and I took her and her dad picked her up. She was so unhappy that she would not eat her snack of a brownie. She then threw a fit when he took her to the sitters. How can we make going to school happy for all of us?

We have a 3 month old son and both work together and commute to work. We drop him off there at 7am and pick him up at 6pm. This is so hard for me to do because I was home with him until 1 week ago I miss him soo much. How many other families have to leave their babies for such a long period of time?

We bought a Lightning McQueen (Disney's "Cars") stuffed toy on Sunday for my 4 yr old daughter and she fell in love with it. Took it all over the place Sunday.
On Monday, she forgot it at my parents' house at the Labor Day BBQ. When we got home, she was crying hysterically before going to bed that she "promised" Lightning she would never forget him anywhere. So i promised her i'd get it back for her by today.
So i got up at 4:30 this morning and drove to work, rather than take my train in. And i'm coming home a hero, i guess.
But am i a push-over? Should i have just waited for the weekend?

What is a fair share of time for him to be taking over helping with the baby each night? I don't want to overload him after his long day, but my days are long too. What are some opinions on this or any people who have gone through or are going through the same situation.

My son is seven months old, he's an okay crawler...he's still getting used to it though! We live in a house with lenolium floors all through the house. We have four area rugs through the house but he only has to crawl a little ways before he's at the end of the rug. I want him to be able to crawl but I don't kno what to do...should I let him crawl on the lenolium...the carpet (which he licks)...or what? We cannot move because we live on a military base and he no longer fits in his pack n play. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank You!
