My son is seven months old, he's an okay crawler...he's still getting used to it though! We live in a house with lenolium floors all through the house. We have four area rugs through the house but he only has to crawl a little ways before he's at the end of the rug. I want him to be able to crawl but I don't kno what to do...should I let him crawl on the lenolium...the carpet (which he licks)...or what? We cannot move because we live on a military base and he no longer fits in his pack n play. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank You!

try to find the rubber foam squares, they sell them at home depot, toys'r'us k-mart and stores like that. my kids loved them. we also used them outside, and under an inflatable pool cause all we have is driveway and concrete.

Don't let him crawl on the bare floor (or carpet either). Think about it this way: You go to the store and step on who knows what while walking through the parking lot. Someone has dog poop on their shoes and steps somewhere and then you step there and get a little on your shoe. Then you come home and walk all over the carpet/floor and then let your 7 month old crawl around on it. Try getting him a big mat to let him crawl on that can easily be put away.

Theres aboslutely no reason he cant crawl on the lenolium. Although you might want to roll his pants up over his knees so he can get more traction.
Just keep the floor clean, like you would the carpets.

Sure, let him crawl on the linoleum. He may get a couple bumps and bruises, but that's just part of growing up. My 8 month old crawls from our carpet to our linoleum and back again in a blink of an eye. I used to try and keep him on a blanket on the floor, but that doesn't work anymore! Good luck!

Put him in something that covers his knees and let him crawl on the linoleum. Throw rugs will impede his progress and if he licks the carpet, well....

Babies are resiliant. They can crawl anywhere. Eventually their knees toughen up. Just make sure to baby proof and keep an eye on baby in non baby proofed areas.
