I got off the pill June 28th, and a few days later had my period July 2-5th. Today is Aug. 5th and still no period. I took a urine test today, and it was negative, at the clinic, they also did a blood test, and I get results tomorrow. Has anyone ever taken a pee test one day and it was negative, and their blood test was positive the very same day? I do have signs, my breasts are tender and I have a lot of gas. Let me know if you have had this happen to you (MY QUESTION IS, PEE TEST NEGATIVE THE SAME DAY YOU TAKE YOUR BLOOD TEST, but your BLOOD TEST was POSITIVE THE SAME DAY YOUR PEE TEST WAS NEGATIVE)

With my 2nd child I had several negative urine tests (in a period of about 3 days) and suddenly a positive. It takes time for enough of the hormone that the urine strip tests for to build up.

It is possible that your blood test could come back positive, it can detect fainter levels of hormone than an over the counter urine test.

Don't sweat it if you can help it, and good luck!

Not all over the counter HPT will work. So yes it can be true. The only positive way to tell your pregnant is the blood test. Because I had a friend who took a test and was positve twice and she really wasn't prenant, then another took a test and was neg and she really was.

Yes, this is absolutely possible. This is because there is a higher concentration of HCG in your blood than in your urine. Blood tests are considered the gold standard when deciding pregnancy.

when i came off the pill, i bled a couple of days after and then no period for 7 weeks!! it takes a while for your menstrual cycle to kick back to normal..... not the answer to your question, but it could explain the reason why your first test came back negative...
if you wanting the results to come back positive, good luck
if not, then dont worry too much, what will be will be

No it hasn't. BUt i suggest not worrying baout it until all your results get back, then you'll know for sure which was more accurate, the urine test or the blood test.

Yes I haven't had this happen to me but a friend of mine has and it can happen. The hormone that you pass through your urine has to be strong enough to detect, if you are in a early stage then it may be too week to detect in your urine but strong enough for a blood test.

Right after I quit the pill I got a cyst on my ovary and it caused me to have my period every other month. That could be your problem.
