Also, were you underweight, average weight, or over weight when you got pregnant?

25-35 pounds is average from what I understand.

Thanks!

1st: 25 lbs., 2nd and 3rd: 30 lbs., 4th and 5th: 40 lbs. The doctors never said I gained too much. I always started my preganacies out at 95 to 100 lbs and I am 5'5".
After 2 pregnancies, women usually have more anmiotic fluid which accounts for extra weight gain. With the last two pregnancies, I dropped 20 lbs just from the baby being born.
My sister actually lost weight during her pregnancies because she was throwing up the whole time.
Just don't diet when you are pregnant. When my mom was pregnant with me, she dieted so she wouldn't get fat. I was one month premature because of that.

I gained 20 lbs that stayed after my first pregnancy, then 40 on the second. I watched my weight the best I could, but it failed.

After my second was born, the docs discovered my thyroid quit working which caused the excessive gains.

25-35 is average for total gain while pregnant,, most should be gone within months of giving birth. If not,, time to start taking Jr for a walk!

60 pounds from the day that I found out that I was pregnant till the day that I delivered. I gained most of it at the end. I guess that I was overweight when I got pregnant, because I am now 20 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight.

I gained 50 pounds, which is considered over weight, but my blood pressure was good, & I worked out till I was 8 months. A lot of it was water weight, which I lost overnight after I gave birth.

with my first child i gained 65 lbs and with my second child i LOST 50 lbs. the body is crazy and there is no way to know how much a person will gain during pregnancy. in my opinion the biggest problem is with stretch marks rather than weight gain. you can loose the weight but it is really hard to get rid of the stretch marks.
