just wanted all to know, my 10 lb baby is now 7 yrs old. born May 10, 1999. was in labor during May 3rd tornado, got sent home. he was a c-section. now 41/2 ft tall 78lbs. Very big boy, hopefully a future in football. according to teachers, and from helping w/homework this little guy is sharp. to answer the statement that big babies grow up to be fat? does that mean little babies grow up to be little people? get a clue.

Fat babies make fat adults. Glad to be in the slimmer category.

My mom is the comparable top as you - my brother - her third toddler, grew to become into 9lb 14oz and the dimensions of an elementary 3 month old (that they had in the previous toold her he grew to become into small) she gave beginning to him evidently and so some distance as i'm worried she is a saint! After my different brother - her final toddler, regardless of the reality that he wasn't as enormous, too lots injury have been finished and he or she ended up with an emergency hysterectomy, sturdy interest she wasn't making plans anymore little ones! She could have had a minimum of two c- sections with the complicated births and enormous babies she had - fortuitously circumstances have replaced - my brothers at the instant are 20 and 21 and that could desire to possibly in no way ensue at present. i'm specific they are going to be responsive to and do what's sweet for you, yet a extensive infant would not unavoidably recommend you will locate it difficult - some say it is greater ordinary - greater clever gravity - lol 25 weeks with a 'long' infant - relieved i'm 7 inches taller than my mum!

NO SUN HERE, you are a true idiot. Fat babies do not make fat adults! I was born 10 pounds and 11 ounces... as an adult I am 5"11 and 125 pounds.. Baby fat goes away...

But to the original question... My son was over 9 pounds.. I would say that I am more grateful than anything that he was so big and healthy!

Congrats to you.

I'm sure that my son was over 10 pounds but while they were carrying him to the scale he peed like a fountain all over the nurse. Once he got to the scale he weighed 9 pounds 14 oz. Close enough for me. He was also an inch and a half shy of being 2 feet long!

OH YES, I too wanted to add that fat babies do NOT necesssarily make fat adults. What a moron.

My 2nd child weighed in at 10 lbs. 3 ozs. and to the remark earlier about "fat babies make fat adults," I disagree with you! My son is now 19 months old and is underweight for his height!!

I don't have kids yet, but my former manager just had a 10 lb. baby in July. The funniest thing is that when I finally saw the kid, I couldn't believe how small she was! I expected some really big-looking baby, but it was just a tiny thing!

Just a question, did you have a c-section or vaginal birth? I have a friend who had to have c-section because her baby was so big. We currently think that my baby is going to be a big one. But I guess I will find out more at the next sono. Congrats.....

I agree the bigger the better they look more healthy and not as weak as a less wieght baby. My son was born 6lbs not that bad but i would have liked him to be a little bigger.
