My daughter seems to always want ice-cream for a reward. I don't want her to become used to getting sweets for a reward, but I can't think of many things to keep a variety of rewards on hand. I don't think little toys are a good idea, as I like to keep a tidy house. any ideas?

I am only 11 weeks along, but I have been really sick with nausea since about 5 weeks. I am also feeling really tired. I know this is all very normal, but I am really struggling with doing my job. I work full time at a nursing home doing houskeeping. I know that I am probably nearing the end of this, so I have been trying to stick it out, but I am really stressed about going to work because I dont feel well enough to so this sort of job. And I am afraid that even if the nausea goes away after the third month, that I still wont have enough energy to do this job. The other thing is that my husband and I are buying a house in November, and my income is important to us getting our mortgage. When I got pregnant, I didn't think I was going to be this sick. Any advice?

First let me start off by saying that according to my last mestrual period I'm 10 weeks...but I know I'm 8 (since my husband came on leave around that time)...I went to my first OB visit..had a vaginal ultrasound done and there was no heartbeat detected. All I've been doing is crying. I need your help. Has this ever happened to anyone?? If so, was it a miscarriage? Or is there still hope? I belive in miracles and I'm hoping that my baby is ok. All answers and prayers are greatly appreciated.

I have tried countless things to try and get my 3 year old child to listen, including time outs and taking away priveledges, but nothing seems to be working. I am starting to feel like she is controlling me rather than me having the control. i was wondering if any other parents out there are experiencing a similar situation or have already gone through this your suggestions would be very helpful thank you.

You know how the kids leave the duckies in the bathtub and the water seeps in from the little hole in the bottom, after some time that water builds mold. You can't really get in there to scrub thtat stuff out.

My daughter has a set of three and they are just too cute to toss. How do I clean them and completely remove the mold?

We dont have sex daily but about 2 times a week. when she was younger she got pregnant but she lost her child when she was 8months pregnant, but i wasnt the father. now me and her are trying but we cant, could it be that I have low sperm count? if i should how much dose a test for low sperm count cost if you dont have health insurance? Or can it be her?

I had a sonogram with my current preg. at 16 weeks...the tech said she couldn't quite tell the sex. When I was pregnant with my son I also had my first sono at 16 weeks and there was no mistaking that he was a boy. It was clear as day. I've heard it's easier to tell a boy from a girl so I was wondering if perhaps this one is a girl because she couldn't quite tell. I know it's not a full proof thing just curious as to what others think. I'm currently 19 weeks and I am going for another sono soon. Thanks in advance

I was w/my ex for about 2 months, when I got pregnant; I broke up with him because his lack of respect and his on going trips to his local bar when he was moody (I wasn‘t in the beginning aware that he was a regular). I haven't heard from him in exactly two months. He has never offered any support of any kind. The last time we spoke, he threatened to get a lawyer to gain custody. I'm not a drug user nor do I drink; I live in a great town; where as he’s concerned lives with his parents in a small apartment in a bad part of his city. He makes a little over minim wage and has no health coverage. Should I worry? Do I have to put him on the Birth Certificate? I will be choosing my surname for my baby.

I'm a mother of three (a 13 year old boy, 8 year old boy, and 5 year old girl). My 8 year old really didn't like Hebrew School. But then when he went this year, he started to become orthodox. But he is trying to change my whole family into becoming an orthodox family. He is making us buy Kosher meat and have Shabbat (I don't mind that but even on vacation, he insisted on it), he wants to walk on Shabbat, and he thinks that if he doesn't do all of this he will be a bad boy. This is what his Hebrew teacher said to him (not in those exact words). His Hebrew teacher is also orthodox.
But my family is conservative, and we want some Judiasm in our house, but not this much. This Hebrew teacher basically said that you have to do this and that or you're a bad boy. She even said "you can go home and tell your parents you can miss 4 days of school for Passover", and that's the parent's choice (he goes to a public school). I was wondering if anyone can think of anything I can do to stop this.

I come from a big family, so you can imagine my new baby is being passed from person to person quite frequently, is this good for her in the long run or not?

I'm not talking about the occaisional slip up, most people are guilty of that, but I know some people who seem to have no reservations at all about cussing around their kids. Then people act so shocked when the kid uses that language himself. I think it's unfortunate but it's also so widespread, in entertainment, at school, and other areas. Ironically, movie producers will often put lots of swearing in their movies to attract a more 'mature' audience, as if using profanity was a trait of 'maturity'.

He also likes to put things in a perfect line, such as instead of playing with toy cars, he'd line them up in a row like train carts. When playing with blocks he'd rather make a big rectangle out of it. He knew his ABCs, numbers, colors, shapes, and 24p jigsaw puzzle by 2. A very hard headed, stubborn boy, very resistent to change. I'm curious if any of you parents had a child like that and how did they turn out to be when they get older?
