being skinned alive, then diying in a fire - OUCH

You get married to the man you love....and then after ten wonderful years of marriage, you find out he has AIDS. You go get tested, thinking there is a sliver of a hope that you don't have it, but you get the bad news that you are infected. You tell him that you are willing to stay together, and fight the good fight with him. Days later, he tells you he is just not interested in you, or otherwise, women! He likes men, and has been cheating on you all of this time with men. You get divorced, because it's obviously not going to work, and a year later you see him on the news, arrested for 28 counts of child molestation (he gave all the children AIDS). You then test your child for AIDS and lo and behold, your child has it too. Your ex molested your son, and gave him the incurable disease. To top it all off, the son dies first and you have to watch your son die a painful death. And then you die (alone).

Realizing that yes, you will eventually die, and that no matter how important it seems now, material items aren't that important.

Scary thought.

That, and just the thought of dying... well, not dying itself, persay. But the fact that we don't know what happens after death. Scientists say our bodies rot and become compost for the next generation of petunias. Religions (generally) say you die, your soul lives on, and based on the deeds of your life, you either end up in Heaven, or with flames up your butt for all eternity.

How long is eternity anyways?

Losing a close friend at the age of twelve, then 3 months later losing another. Then 8 months later losing your only grandparent [my grandma] then 6 months later finding out your aunt shot and killed herself. Then 2 months later finding out yet another close special friend died. Her birthday was the day after mine. Then 4 months later finding out your other aunt died. Then 2 days later find out your cousin got shot and killed [even now they still haven't found the killer]. Then 4 months later the husband of your moms [very close] friend dies. And you're at the hospital watching her grieve over her dead husband; trying to warm his body because he so cold and didn't like to be cold.....not a pretty sight. Then getting to go to his funereal right before school starts...that's a happy thought. Then just finding out Steve Iwrin died!!!! :( I'm 15 btw, all this happened throughout the course of 3 years. I'm not making any of this up tis the truth. Why would I of course anyway

A migraine headache while someone telling you that your whole family has died. Then you get into a car accident on the way to the hospital and have to have your legs taken off.

Being a mother of a small child, not having a job, husband is a manager somewhere and makes all the money, husband gets killed in car accident, you and child lose house because it was in husbands name, have no family to go to, end up raising your child on the street.......
