I'm guessing that your Dr. will review the results of the ultrasound and in your next appointment decide on a "drop dead date" that he will induce you by if you haven't gone into labor naturally. This will also depend on your frame etc as that plays in the ability to birth a bigger baby without complications.

Wow, that's a big baby! My sister was 9 lbs 12 oz & my mom had her without a c-section. They didn't induce her. That was 15 yrs ago though so they may do things different now.

They may do that so that the baby doesn't get too big. Although most baby at this stage gain about a half a pound a week. So the baby may be a ten pounder.

i;m not a dr but i would no my uater sound said my daughter was going to be 12lbs it was wrong she was 6 lbs so don't worrry until the dr tells you he will have to induce ok buy the way normally inductions are done when you past your due date and if the baby or u are under stress lots of luck

An ultrasound isn't completely accurate. If the doctor was worried he'd have mentioned it. Try and relax see what happens good luck and congratulations

Yes probably so or either u will have the baby early because the baby being so big might rupture your water too

Demand it! If you knew what my daughter went through with a almost 9 pounder you'd go to the hospital and demand it NOW.

hard to tell. I would almost hope so for your sake because the baby is so big already. But then again there have been bigger babies born....good luck!

probably not but that's a biggie :) seriously--congrats on a very healthy baby! my friend nicole's baby was exactly 10 lbs and she actually delivered him! sometimes bigger babies tend to need a c-section but you never know! good luck sweetie!

Quite possible! I would ask your doctor. I would also ask for a ceseran birth. Honey, you're not gonna want to squeeze that out!!!
