She'll be fine sleeping face down. Once they can roll over on their own, the risk of suffocation is greatly decreased. If that's the position she's comfortable sleeping in, don't mess with it.

Leave that baby alone. My daughter slept on her tummy and STILL does now that she's 20. There is nothing wrong with tummy sleeping. If that baby is more comfortable on her tummy let her sleep that way. My niece was forced to sleep on her back but STILL died in her crib at 4 months...SIDS.

There is nothing you can do about it since she can roll back and forth. Don't worry, this shouldn't be a problem. They tell you to put new borns on the back because you don't want them to suffocate as they cannot roll over. Now they can, sleep on the tummy is not a problem.

My baby sleeps face down sometimes-- I think it's perfectly okay. No matter what you do, the baby will end up in the position that's best for him/her. At 3 months, my baby started rolling over & sleeping on his tummy. There's really nothing you can do about it. Trust me-- your baby can breathe:)

Let her alone she is sleeping.. All of us made it through child hood and didn't die in our beds.. if she is sleeping good leave her alone.. she can breath or she wouldn't be that way.. just check her once in a while... it is very normal for kids to want to sleep on there tummys..
she is past the age of worrying about her sleeping.. just don't put to much stuff in her crib so she can move where she wants too.

Both my kids slept face down. Back in the late 80's early 90's they said never to let a baby sleep on their back because they can choke on their own vomit. Now they say have them sleep on their backs to avoid SIDS.
I had a nephew who died from SIDS.
6 months old, a baby can roll over. If they can't breathe right, they'll turn their head or roll over.
Just check on your baby during the night, but she should be fine.

Lay her on her side with a pillow behind her back next to the side of the crib. If she can push herself up, she's probably safe sleeping on her tummy.

There is pretty much nothing you can do. We tried everything and short from staying awake to make sure they don't flip over it is bound to happen. A precaution you can take though is the use of a pacifier. A pacifier helps to keep a sufficient amount of space between the bed and baby's nose.

My son was only able to fall alseep on his stomach. I used cordless baby moitor so i could hear him breathing. he did fine. I even tryed facing him on his back when i found him on his tummy and he would fuss and turn right back around. There is nothing you really can do but keep turning him back around or watching him closely. I heard they have things that can alert you if they stop breathing but Im not to sure. Like the comment above me, I have also heard that pacifiers help the babies not suffocate but I heards its not just cause it leaves room for the baby to breath, but something in their brain and sucking on the pacifier keeps them breathing.
