My son is seven months old and eats four meals (two are oatmeal, on stage three food, and a vegtable--he hates fruit) a day, one to two 6oz bottles, and a sippy cup with apple juice. He is a very active and tall twenty-one pound baby. I'm not too sure if this is normal or not. I know every baby is diffrent but I guess I just wanted to see what others say. What were/are your kids eating at this age? Is this normal? My pediatrition doesn't have a problem but what do you think?

My daughter went through the same thing. From the day I brought her home she ate ever hour. At three months, she was on stage 2 baby food and baby cereal. By five months, she was off the bottle. (All directed by my doctor, of course.)

Today, she's almost two. She weighs pretty close to 45 lbs, and wears a 4/6 in little girls', not toddlers...She's the height of your average four year old. She's a big girl, but by no means fat.

That sounds about right. My 8 month old eats 3 meals a day (stage 2 foods, 1 fruit or cereal, 1 veggie and 1 veggie w/meat), 4 or 5 - 6oz bottles and a little bit of juice. So I think your son sounds just right. As long as your pediatrician isn't worried, I wouldn't be either.

I have a monster urge for nutrients, and that i love it. to say that I eat like a horse is a sarcasm. many human beings tell me that I eat too a lot, yet i'm larger and superior than a good type of human beings, so my typical intake is extreme to a established human being. Plus, i'm bulking up even more effective, so i prefer to make investments in a 2d refrigerator. in words of your question, most of the time, a guy may have a larger urge for nutrients than a lady, yet I have considered some circumstances the position a lady took down a guy on the table, and it wasn't an ingesting contest. a lady may have a monster urge for nutrients as well.

my son could eat two stage three meals on one sitting plus formula. He was tall for his age though. As long as you feed him babyfood that is not sugar like the custards he is fine he is just going through a growth spurt. My daycare provider said that she was shocked by how much my son ate and she didnt think it was normal so I took my son to the pediatician and she said he was fine. She told me do not give them juice until they are 12 months old. they dont need it they get everything they need from the formula or breast milk and they need it to develope their brain and bones. She said even when they are 12 months to give them wated down juice. maybe instead of juice give him some waterd down cereal or another bottle of formula/breastmilk.

Count your blessings that you are not in the boat with parents who are worried/stressing about their children/babies not getting enough to eat.

I think what he is eatting is awesome and its good that he is eatting on such a routine schedule. I would cut out the juice tho and replace it with water.

Just a warning for you is that he may go backwards soon and not want to eat much at all, but don't worry his body knows what/when he needs food.

At your sons age he should be getting 24-36oz of formula each day.

My son at that age was eating 3 meals a day stage2 baby food.He never would eat stage 3.He is now 14 nths and 24 pds.He eats every thing he can get his hands on.My advice is feed him when he is hungry. If thats how much he wants to eat then that is fine.He will let you know when he is full.

sounds fine. You cannot force feed a baby at this age, they want to eat when hungry, and stop eating when full. All is well.

He may just be going through a growth spurt...don't sweat it.

If his weight is appropriate, don't sweat his appetite.
