Pregnancy & Parenting - 24 August 2006

I have been with my step daughter since she was 5 she is now 13. I have 2 children of my own both are grown and on their own. My stepdaughter is very decitful and manipultive. She lies to her father all the time to get what she wants. He takes her side no matter what anyone says including her teachers,myself, her mother, and her counsilors. She is becoming more agressive the friends she had will no longer hang out with her. She was expelled from school for good at the end of last yr. She is now living with her mother, she is mouthy, won't do anything you ask her to, refuses to do chores but expects money when ever she asks for it and all hell breaks loose if she's told no and her father continually lets her get away with it. Last week I told him I had had enough and I she can't come here anymore. I told him I also understood if he felt he had to leave. He sayed but now is saying that my kids arn't allowed here either. Do you think this is fair. They haven't caused problems.

Hey i'm 17 and i'm pregnant to my fiance who's 20,i'm happy,it wasnt planned though,i'm just super nervous i have no friends to support me,i'm finding myself crying all night because i'm so scared and need someone who's been through everything to help me if thats possible,or anyone else whos my age and pregnant i think it would be wonderful to support each other its such a huge thing that cannot be dealt with alone,my fiance is very happy but he doesnt know anything about babies or anything so i feel i need a woman to talk to thanks

My in-laws want to take my daughter to Argentina for 2 weeks during the winter. I would join her in Argentina after those 2 weeks. She will be 10mo at that time. I personally think it's a fine idea. I know her grandparents adore her, and she'll get tons of love and attention down there. Maybe she'd even get more love and attention than I could offer at that time, because I'm in law school and that's final exam time. At first her grandparents wanted to take her, but now they're afraid it might cause her some kind of psychological damage to be away from her mom.

My mom says that she left me with my godparents for 3 weeks when I was 9mo, and it wasn't a problem.

I'm sure you all will want to refer to personal experience, but if you could also refer to any articles or studies, that would be great!

I am 31 weeks Prego for the past 4 days I have been having bad bad bad back pains. Yesterday morning I woke up and went to the bathroom and wiped myself after peeing and there was yellow MUCAS stuff all over the tissue and this is my first pregnancy and I don't know what to do?? I was listening to the radio the other day... and a commercial came on talking about shots before pregnancy. The volume was too low so I barely caught the last bit of it. It was saying something about babies cannot get certain shots until they are 2 months of age... and so everyone around them should have their shots. I didn't know what shot they were talking about. What shots do you need to get before you become pregnant?

I had a miscarriage in July and got pregnant again in Early Aug and now am miscarrying again. I had a D&C with the first one but it was rushed and so unpleasant and painful. I still have antibiotics from that one and started taking them as soon as I started miscarrying again. The Doctor that I went to last time was so Cold and wasn't very compassionate. I am new to the area and didn't have a OB/Gyn so the Hospital referred me to one. Now I am afraid to go get checked out. He just slapped me on the table and just started cleaning me out and it was painful. I was already dialated though but still it was painful. He didn't even tell me what to expect. So this is why I want to know if I can go through this on my own along with antibiotics. I am throwing out a bunch of clots and changing my pad every 2 to three hours. I just feel like I'm on my period but with clots. I felt this way during my last miscarriage. I am only 4wks with this one and the first I was 4wks also.

i found out i was pregnant about 3 months ago and i am 5 months gone. they have told me i am having twins. my mum knows i am pregnant but not that its twins. i would never abort the baby or put it up for adoption but i don't know what to do when the babys are born. i think 15 is too young to have a baby too but i am totally against abortion and deffinately dont think i could put it up for adoption. please help and let me know what i can do. i am still with the father and happy together.

okay me and my husband are TTC and like two weeks ago i had egg white discharge so i thought i was ovulating so me and my husband had sex the following day. and here it is 2 weeks later and i got what i think is my period. But my periods are normally very heavy for the first 4 days. it lasts 7. but it was kinda heavy for the first hour then it got light. i normally change pads every hour. this time its like every 2-4 hours. and even then its not full wit blood. Also i have had bad cramps the first day went to sleep it went away. but i always have bad cramps. There were no clots in the blood. just blood. so i dont think i would be having a miscarrige. this is not normal for me. can some one please help me. i had a few pregnancy signs before it started and i still do. Also if this is a miscarrige and i aint even know i was pregnant could something happen to me?? Thank you.
