Usually at four weeks its just like a heavy period. It is sad. I've been there. I'm sorry. Sometimes though you can have some bleeding and everything be okay. I had two miscarriages and then got pregnant with my third and i had some bleeding, and it was scary, but he made it out just fine at eight months(preeclampsia). But yeah you need to go in just to make sure. Don't go to an ER go to your doc. Good luck. I hope everything is fine, but if not. Give your self some months to get over it physically and mentally. Your body has to have some time to heal. You don't normally need a D&C untill your much further along. I had one when I lost mine at 5 months preg. Like I already said good luck and don't give up.

Go to the doctor, if you have any remaining fetal tissue, you could get an infection and maybe not be able to conceive again, or get really sick and die.
Women miscarry early all the time, its natures way of not completing a pregnancy.
I'm really sorry that this happened to you, but it might give you an opportunity to think through whether or not you are ready to be a parent. If you do think you are ready and up to the job, then ask your doctor how long before you can try again to get pregnant. If you aren't ready to be a parent, and this was an accident, then have a serious talk with your doctor about birth control.

Please do go to the doctor. They will be the ones that will know best for you. Some pregnant women bleed everyday through their pregnancy and could still have a healthy baby, but only with good care and rest. If you want to make sure that your baby is all right, you should talk to your doctor right away.
If you do have a miscarriage, doctors will check if you need to be 'cleaned' inside for some tissues that might be left in the womb. This is an important process but it does not hurt (some women who gave birth naturally need this to be done as well when her placenta is not fully ejected after the birth), so please don't delay any longer.

get to the dr! i had a miscarriage at @ 4-5 wks-- i had just found out i was pregnant the week before. i didnt go to the dr til it was too late. (a few days later) but i later worked with a girl who started spotting at about the same time, went to the dr right away, and her dr put her on bedrest for a while, and shes now got a 8 yr old little girl.
go to the dr. they'll do a blood test, and tell you to come back in a day or two and do another one. then you'll know either way.

yes i had 2 miscarriages early on like that. With me i had alot of cramping and then i started bleeding like it was your period. Please go to the dr and make sure you had a miscarriage. You need to know just for your piece of mind and if you did miscarry then you need to make sure everything is out,if everything isnt out you can get a very bad infection or you could possibly die from this, sorry i dont mean to scare you but this is very importanat. And you may have not even miscarried either sometimes weird things happen in pregnancy but bleeding is not normal if you havent miscarried then it could be a threatned miscarriage.I wish you the best of luck and i hope everything will be ok.

I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy. I experienced severe abdominal cramping, just like when your period is about to start but the cramps got steadily worse. At one point went to the bathroom and bleeding had started which also steadily got worse also blot clots. Went to the hospital and they'd said I'd lost the baby. They put me to sleep while they did a D&C. Which is just like a little vacuum that sucks out everything that did not bleed out. Besides the loss of the baby, it wasn't so bad and I went home the next morning. Please go to see your doc ASAP,. You want to get this checked out now!

yes, i have had a miscarriage early in the pregnancy. you need to go see the doctor to make sure everything came out. if not, they may clean you out by doing a d&c. they will put you to sleep when they do this and it doesn't take long. it ensures that everything is out so that you won't get an infection. don't be afraid, it happens all the time.

I had a "threatened miscarriage" with my second child...there was blood and everything, but with a little rest everything was fine. They did an ultrasound, which does not hurt at all. He is now almost 13. Don't worry--that will only make things worse. See a doctor and he/she will help you from there.

You really need to go see a doctor this is not a matter that people online can assist you with. If you need help then get off your butt and go to the hospital and get checked out. Simple as that.

This early in the pregnancy the baby will just be absorbed by your body or expell on it's on. I don't think anything will have to be done. I lost two babies, one at 4 weeks and another at 5. I didn't have to have anything done either time.
