It depends on how long you have been trying and also how old you are. If you have been on contraception for any time that can also slow things down. My friend had this problem and I advised her to go to Dr as she had been trying for around 8 months with no luck. She had blood tests and it was discovered that she wasn't ovulating. She was going to be prescribed drugs to kick start ovulation but miraculously became pregnant just after her Dr visit.
Stress can also stop things, or if you are focusing so much on becoming pregnant it just won't happen. I would go to the Dr who will do tests, at least then you will know if it's hormonal or not.

This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive. My Doctor recommended it to me and after 1 year of trying I got the book. It worked the very next month. It turns out that my timing was wrong due to mis-information. I hope it helps you, too! It's not only about getting pregnant. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!

Okay, how long have you been trying? If you've been trying over a year, it's time to go to the doctor, both you and your husband. If all check's okay, then start charting, this will take a few months. Buy some ovulation test kits, these are expensive, but if you have charted, you will know the time of month that you ovulate. Good luck and I hope you are soon blessed with a child.

I read somewhere that there is only an average 15% chance of conceiving each cycle. You could try lying on your back with a pillow under your bum after sex. I understand that gravity can help. You also need to not put yourself under so much pressure. Stress can be a hindrance. I have friends that have tried for babies, with no success. Having decided to go the IVF route they have discovered they were pregnant before they got to their appointment simply because the stress had gone.

It really depends on how long you have been trying. I would suggest you and your partner see your doctor, who may refer you for further testing depending on how long you have been trying. If it has only been a month or two, they are unlikely to refer you on just yet. You could also try fertility predictors/ovlation testing sticks or if your cycle is very regular try frequent sex from about 12-14 days into the cycle until about 18-20 days as you are most likely to be ovulating during this time.

Firstly not everyone gets pregnant 1st time. it has taken me 18 months! Stressing about pregnancy can delay it and also stress. If you have been trying over a year then go and see your GP and they will find out what the problem is. i would just be paitent and try and think about other things. Your not doing anything wrong - good luck

Give up smoking and drink only in moderation.
Lose or gain weight until your BMI is between 18-28.
Eat lots of fresh fruit and veg (ideally organic) and a healthy diet otherwise.
Have sex every second day from days 8-16 of your cycle.
If that doesn't work in 6 months - or if you've been doing that already - go to your GP and get referred to a specialist.

depending on how long you've been trying there may be, its best to see your dr and get a check up.
otherwise try to ensure you are having sex during your fertile time, generally between the 12th and 16th day of your cycle as you ovulate on 14thday ( in usual 28 day cycle)
you could try charting your cycle (www.fertilityfriends.com) to work out when you are most likely to concieve check out this site all the technical stuff is done for you

Count 14 days after the first day of you period and do it on the day. If that doesnt work you may have to go see a fertility doctor.
