Before getting pregnant is necessary to get vaccined against rubella if never had it before or not yet vaccine.
Taking some Folic Acid supplement and depending on the diet variety you have being eating, a multivitamin supplement including Iron, zinc ( called oligoelements )
Nothing else is usually necessary.
Sure, you always can go for a medical check up and some routine check up tests, plus a consultancy to your dentist.
The more important thing to do BEFORE getting pregnant is the rubella vaccine since is not possible to be given later in the first trimester - and the disease produces baby's malformations that are better to prevent -
What you might receive as vaccine besides the one I mentioned depends from country to country's policy and the area you live in.
Nevertheless, first things first: once you get pregnant, your obstetrician will answer to all this questions during your consultancy and give you the appropriate protection for you and the future baby.
In the meantime, try to reduce habits that may harm your future baby: if you are a smoker, then this is the right time to stop.
If drinking alcohol, or consuming illegal drugs, the same.
Regarding other issues, it depends on your physical status: some treatments should be avoid before conceiving since they are harmful for the future baby - Tretinoin is a very good example, needs a long time to clear up -
If you are under treatment, then the best to do is to get a consultancy to your doctor and ask straight his/her advice about the medication you are taking before trying to conceive.
I believe that's all you need to know for the moment.
Good luck, and just relax.

I never got any shots before getting preggo. I had to get A shot WHILE preggo for my rh- blood. I don't know about everywhere, but all 3 of my kids got shots IN the hospital the day or the day after they were born.
As for the Rubella thing, most people are immune because they've had their shots already. You will be tested for that immunity at your first blood work. If you are immune, great. If not, there are things that can be done to protect your baby.

I never reall yheard that you need shots before conception....but as long as you know that you are ready to start trying then you should go to the dr and get a really good physical and if you are missing immunizations then get them..... also, ask your doctor about going on a prenatal vitamin before you get pregnant. The baby needs folic acid in the first weeks after conception to help eliminate certain birth defect.... It's so beneficial to the baby and most woma do not now they are pregnant until after the first few weeks.... you can get a head start on a healthy baby.

You do not get shots before becoming pregnant. You take prenatal vitamins while you are pregnant.
