I never had a problem with them, as long as you know how to read them they should work just fine, however there might be something else going on with you, maybe you are just not ovulating. I would make an appointment with a doctor to see what the problem might be.

I only used them for a month (I plan to try again this month) But on the first day I used it, the two lines were very similar. Unsure b/c it was my first time using them, I continued to use them for the next 6 days and they all had a faint line compared to the main line.
If you didn't see a two strong lines at all either you missed your surge by miscalculating your ovulation date so in that case I would start testing a few days sooner than you have been OR perhaps you do not ovulate. If you are not getting that second line then your body is not going through the surge, meaning you do not ovulate. If that is the case, I would call a doctor for further assistance

I used a combo of the ovulation tests and cervical fluid and temp charting. This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive. My Doctor recommended it to me and after 1 year of trying I got the book. It worked the very next month. It turns out that my timing was wrong due to mis-information. I hope it helps you, too! It's not only about getting pregnant. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!

instead of using the ovulation test sticks try using the Isis-scope fertility microscope. It is in the shape of a lipstick and you can take it anywere with you. All you have to do is like the end of it and wait five mins then look through the lens it will tell you if you are ovulating staight away. I had my stererlization reversed in Feb 2005 and i got caught pregnant in the August of that year. You can buy this item at accessdiagnostics.co.uk GOOD LUCK

I've had this problem too. It could be that you're not testing at the right time. I've decided that as soon as I finish this period I'm going to test every single day until my nxt period. I've got my tests from ebay which makes it a bit cheaper. If I still don't pick up a positive result then I'm going to let my gynae know as it would seem that ovulation isn't happening at all :(
Good luck with evrything.

Yes I had this problem. I was holding the strip downwards and this nulls the result - you nee to make sure it is completely flat. Also I thought I knew when I would ovulte but I was actually 3 days out so you do need to test very day for say 5 days around your peak time.
But your GP should be able to do blood tests and check it out for you no problem so maybe you should go see them and also carry on with the tests

This is just a suggestion..Be aware of your vaginal discharge. If you notice that it is similar to egg white the you are around ovulation time. Ovulation should occur 14 days before a period. Some people get a pain on one side of their lower stomach which is ovulation pain. I used these methods and got pregnant with no problem.

Ovulation tests didn't show I was ovulating either. I went to my GP who referred me for blood tests to check for ovulation which is far more reliable. I got blood tests on day 21 for 3 consecutive months and ovulation was confirmed each time- if your having regular periods, your ovulating so don't worry.

The control line should be lighter or equal to the new line for positive results. The new line will come in color fast if its going to be equal to or darker than the control line. The new line will come in color slow if its negative. I've been using these a while now. Haven't had any problems yet. Good Luck!
