my friend is adopting a baby, I want to get her a gift. I don't know the sex of the baby. what would be a good present?

I am 40 weeks and 2 days, I have pitting edema in my legs and feet and my nurse practioner is not helpful. First off this is my second child and my first was a week late. I don't get to see a doctor until I'm ready to push where I go (No one else takes my insurance). I started having edema 3 weeks ago and did like they said elevate my legs, drink lots of water, and avoid salt. I have always keep an eye on my b/p even before pregnancy because I have always had very low blood pressure. I have been keeping a closer eye on it now. It has been runnig around 112/60 up until now. Now it is running 134/85, which is still in the normal range. I have talked to my nurse about my worries, and she didn't really explain anything... "well you need to just have that baby". I have not dilated anymore (1cm) and She isn't going to see me again until the 30 of this month. I know alot of you are going to fuss at me, but right now that doesn't mater. I can't walk, don't and can't have sex, and need help.

One of my dearest friends is drinking and smoking heavily while pregnant. She is due in 3-4 months. Several of her friends have spoken with her (as has her doctor) to no avail. We have dropped the subject because we can't change her behavior.

She told us her husband - who also is a friend of ours - is fine with her drinking. However, recently he told me he was fine with her having one beer once in a while. So, I believe he is unaware of the extent to which she is drinking.

Now that he has expressed this to me, what do I do? Do I tell him what I know? Do I give her an ultimatum - I'll tell her husband if you keep drinking so much? I've thought about every option - sending an anonymous letter, telling her ob-gyn, telling a close friend of his to tell him. They are not religious, so there is no priest to tell.

I love my friend and don't want to lose the friendship. I am looking for CLEVER IDEAS to alert him please, not a tell him-don't tell him debate. Thanks!

The pill & other hormone birth controls (Nuvaring & Orthoevra) I have tried have caused pretty severe depression. I need feedback on other effective ways to prevent pregnancy with plans to conceive next year. I hate condoms but have not tried any other barrier methods or spermicides etc. Not interested in an IUD.

What non-hormonal birth control have you used and how effective is it compared to the pill? Also, what form do you NOT reccommed?

How do you know if you have a hemorroid? And what causes them? I'm 9 weeks pregnant, and someone told me that i may get hemorroids...i don't think i've ever had one before.

As she entered into her 3rd day of breastfeeding, we realised that the baby didn't seem to have urinate at all for the whole day, as we realised the diaper is almost clean and light. Now my wife feels that her breasts are hardened, and cannot seem to pump out any milk, whether by hand or pump. Please help.

the longest cycle I can have is 41 days, very irregular, shortest cycle is 12 days. breast are very heavy and tender. very mild off and on cramps. my last 2 cycles were 21 days. what do you think I should do. took pregnancy test @ 2 weeks ago (negative)

The FDA just announced that it can be sold without a precription to women 18 and older and 17 or yunger needs a precription fron her doctor. What are your thought on this i'd love to hear from pro-life and pro-choice
On the subject I agree with others who posted to ny question in a different section, I think it will lower the rate of abortions but that is my only thought on it

I'm 15, i used to get my period eragularly but now it has been 27-28 days, i checked for wen my ovulation would be becuase my boyfriend was comming over . I got my period last on 7/26/06 & my ovulation on august 9th my boyfriend was comming over on the 3rd and we had sex maybe 5 times from the 3rd to the 6th but i only had sex for less then a minute cuz i was scared of getting pregnant, we didnt have a condom, and he I pulled out way before he ejaculated and didnt even get close to it. Im suposed to get my period around the 8/22/06 & i dont have any symptoms of being pregnant but i havent goten my period. I have a period pimple and i was haveing moodswinings like i usually do before my period i just havent gotten it yet its only been 2 days after the 22nd but im scared i might be pregnant, o & he didnt ejaculate before or after any of the times we had sex & had gone to the bathroom inbetween. I cant get a pregnancy test cuz i dont want my parents to no and i dont have a way to get it

I am going to be in 9th grade. In our district, 9th grade is the start of high school. We have two middle schools, so two middle schools combine together. We moved to a new home, but it is still the same district. On the bus, I am going to go with the other school's kids, so I really need help making new frinds on the bus.

I am 1 week late, and I had very bad period pains last week, I was expecting a period but nothing came. I took a home pregnancy test yesterday but it was negitive. I have been feeling very dizzy and a bit nauseated. I don't know if i'm pregnant or if its just something else.

I'm 37wks alot of people say walk and have sex.
I've been walking for the past two days and my mucus plug came down. (alittle each day) I told my Fiance he said ILK thats nasty and now he doesn't want to have sex.
