I am 1 week late, and I had very bad period pains last week, I was expecting a period but nothing came. I took a home pregnancy test yesterday but it was negitive. I have been feeling very dizzy and a bit nauseated. I don't know if i'm pregnant or if its just something else.

I had period cramps from 2 weeks before my period was due. I also had sore boobs. My period sort of started (spotting) but stopped again after a few hours. I did a test the next day and it was positive.

I had period cramps right through the first trimester. I'm 25 weeks now and still get twinges now and then. They are quite normal.

In very early pregnancy the cramps can be caused by implantation and all the changes that are going on in your uterus, they are very normal and natural. its only agonising, doubled -over pains accompanied by bleeding that you need to worry about.

I would go to see your doctor as ask their advice. The Doctor can do a blood test which is much more sensitive than the urine tests. alsdo, wait a few days and try another urine test. Make sure you do it first thing in the morning so your urine is more concentrated. Its not unusual to get a negative result and then find out you're pregnant. It just means there wasn't enough HCG hormone in your urine for the test to pick up.

It could, of course, just be that you're a bit late and will come on in the next few days.

Period Pains While Pregnant

Yes, it is possible to experience period pains during the first few weeks of pregnancy.
When I was pregnant with my first, I would go to work feeling almost like I had the flu along with cramping and I thought for sure my period would start but it didn't.
Since you already took the pregnancy test and it was negative, then in my opinion, you are not pregnant. If your not sure go to the doctor. You might have some kind of virus or infection that is not related to your period. 1 week is really not late unless you are very regulated.
Hope this helps.

With my first baby, I had some cramps around when I would have gotten my period. I have very irregular cycles, so I waited quite a bit after that to test, but it was positive. I would suggest waiting another week to test or see your doctor now and get a blood test. You may not have enough pregnancy hormone in you yet to make a urine test positive. It's an exciting time! Good luck!!

My period started on the 14 of every month,,, and ended on the 20th of every month ,,, i started cramping two days before every period, so on jan the 12th i went to walmart to buy tampons and pads,, on the 14th no period even on the 16th no period i was still cramping,, so i thought something was wrong went to the doc,, come to find out i was 5 weeks pregnant, and i continued to have period type cramps until i was 4 months ,, so i guess its diffrent with every pregnancy ,, the best thing for you to do is ,, go to the doc and get blood work doc, you can pee on the stick for up to 6 weeks and it still be negative but blood work will show you that you are pregnant even at 3 weeks ,, call your doc,,,,,

Yes!!!
Pains while you are pregnant are almost the same!!
Just because the test was negative does not mean it wont be positive if you try it again in a few days. Your hormones need to change and this change is what the test picks up on, what ever result you want try again if your period does not start soon.

I would do another test. It is normal to have period like pains when you first become pregnant. You might have done the test too soon. If it is negative again I would go and see the Dr.

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner. Get more useful information and guides to get pregnant here https://tr.im/Zh3J6
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout, even if its just a 20 minute walk a day, be active.

Do another test in a few days or go see your doctor. Some women's hcg levels don't jump immediately. So it may take longer for a hpt to be positive. If you think you are pregnant go and see your doctor and they can do a blood test. It is very sensitive to even low levels.

This has happened to me before. Sometimes your mind tricks your body into thinking you are pregnant. But if you are not, once you relax, your period should start. Also, pregnancy tests are not always 100% accurate. My best advice, if you are worried... go see your doctor.
