Hemorrhoids typically range from the size of a raisin to the size of a grape. They can be merely itchy or downright painful, and sometimes they can even cause rectal bleeding, especially during a bowel movement.

Like when you wipe there will be blood on the tiolet paper. Don't get constipated. Drink plenty of water. Everyone I know didnt get the hemorroids until they were in labor. It was the straining in labor that gave it to them. Here is some other helpful info. Good Luck!!!

• Avoid constipation: Eat a high-fiber diet, drink plenty of water (eight to ten glasses a day), and get regular exercise, even if you only have time for a short, brisk walk. If you're constipated, ask your practitioner about using a fiber supplement or stool softener.

• Don't wait when you have the urge to have a bowel movement, try not to strain when you're moving your bowels, and don't linger on the toilet, because it puts pressure on the area.

• Do Kegel exercises daily. Kegels increase circulation in the rectal area and strengthen the muscles around the anus, decreasing the chance of hemorrhoids. They also strengthen and tone the muscles around the vagina and urethra, which can help your body recover after you give birth.

• Avoid sitting or standing for long stretches of time. If your job involves sitting, get up and move around for a few minutes every hour or so. At home, lie on your left side when sleeping, reading, or watching TV to take the pressure off your rectal veins and help increase blood return from the lower half of your body.

Oh believe me, you'll know. It hurts like a bugger and you can feel a ball like thing there. I didn't get my first hemmeroid until after pushing for 2 hours. Then when the baby was born, it was there. It didn't come back until I was 7 months pregnant with my next child. It's usually pressure that causes it. However, I didn't get any with my first child... just after my second. Hope this helps.

You don't normally get hemroids until after your baby is born. It's caused by the pressure of pushing the baby out during labor. A hemroid is a vein that sort of breaks off and, pardon my bluntness, hangs out of your butt. It can be really painful, but they have an easy surgery to fix it.

Your chances of getting a hemroid when your pregnant aret as great as your friend may think, but if you wish to know how to tell here you go..

Internal Hemroids cause almost no pain. Its hard to tell if you have one. External hemroids are very painful, on the outside of the anus, and are accompianied by burning and itching. Some signs of an internal hemroid are blood in urine, feces.

(nasty lil things huh...)

u would know when u get one. there in ur butt! and they hurt really bad and swell up so bad that u cant sit or walk right. theres medication to use on them but it has to go down on it own. u can get it from constipation and straining to poop. so stay hydrated and eat alot of fruits, veges and fiber. i eat total cereal every moring and it keeps me pooping on the regular, which is very important when ur pregnant. cause u dont want that stuff to build up on u and make the baby have less room to move. cause the baby can make u being constipated feel alot worse when he or she cant move around like usual.

actually, you dont wanna know
you might want to increase your fluid intake and fiber in your diet
you might even consider taking a prescribed laxative if your bowel movement becomes a little bit of a pain in the a$$

as soon as you get one you will know at that exact moment so don't worry till then b/c I have had 4 kids and not one hemerrhoid so I think it is mostly strain and stress matter that causes them.
