I guess I would be considered an Atheist. My wife calls herself a Christian, although she doesn't really practice it. I am not a militant Atheist who thinks the word God should be removed from everything. I really could care less if it's on the US currency or in the pledge, however I am opposed to it being taught as fact right along with reading and math.

That being said, it is time for my 4 year old to start pre-K. We checked into some private schools and simply cannot afford them. My wife is trying to convince me to send him to a Christian school. It is only for one year(next year he will start public kindergarden). She insists that the amount of bible taught will be minimal. I am against the whole idea. Am I over reacting? She says that I can explain to him that there are different belief systems and that it's okay to believe whatever you want or nothing at all. I just don't want him being brainwashed for 4 or 5 hours a day. Anyone have any experince like this?

Yesterday I had some cramps, thought I might just get my period today so I wore a pad today.
There is a light pink discharge.
And today I just couldn't stay awake.
I feel really really really tiered.
My period is due in a week to a week and a half
Is it too early to take a home pregnancy test?

I was pregnant, and then me and ma boyfriend broke up. He told his mom and she wants to speak with me. But, I already had an abortion, so what should I tell him and her because they think I am still pregnant? Please help! I know I should have just told him straight up, but I didn't know how... So, no I wasn't tryna deceive him. But, now he is happy, so in a way I want to get pregnant again, so that I can give birth to his child. So, would pretending to be pregnant until I became pregnant de too deceptive?. And, no I am not a bad person, just young and confused. Help me! Thanx...

Our relatinoship has been rocky for the past couple of months but I cant seem to let him go.....we've been trying to have a baby for a little while and our families have started to bond....how should we explain to them that I am pregant...also I'm under 18 so I need a reasonable way to explain to them. if you have any answers please answer asap! `thanx

ok i have had a constant ache in my lower and middle back all day today (its been off and on for the last week but today its been pretty constant) and when I called L&D at the hospital the lady told me it was "up to me if I felt like coming in or not because it could be labor or it could just be a backache" so she gave me like NO info whatsoever. I don't want to go in and get hubby all freaked out if it's nothing but then again I don't want to wait too long and then him not get home from work in time ya know? I'm not having contractions however every now and again I'll get a kind of jab pain in my left side and the baby is moving around as usual so what do you guys think? just need help makin up my mind here and some outside opinions may help thanks!

I was at a waterpark and saw a sign for no pregnant women to go down the slides...but ive seen those signs everywhere on rides like rollercoasters. Why cant they go on them? What happens to the baby?

I was about 4-5 weeks pregnant when I was smoking cigarettes. But I never knew I was pregnant until I was about 7-8 weeks preg but I already stopped smoking around my 6th week. Did I harm my baby in any way? I don't smoke anymore.

My husband has decided that if I have a BOY he wants to name the baby after him! The problem is I HATE his name, and I DO NOT want a son named the same thing: Terry Lamar....ewwweww.

What do I do? He has said that I "have no choice" and that if it is a girl I can have free will to name the child whatever I want. But I just do not think that is Fair!

I am the one carrying the baby, and will be the one SUFFERING through labor--I think I should have some say so in the naming of my child, whether it is a boy or a girl.

What advice can you give me?
Everytime we dicuss the issue, he gets upset, how can I convince him to help me think of a new, creative name--?

We have a busy, crazy household. Our daughter definitely needs more organized structure, but we're having a hard time establishing a starting point for the rules topic. She is 11, sensitive, has anxiety. She is rude, really mouthy/disrespectful. On the other hand she is very sweet and helpful when she wants to be. Please suggest a few ideas. Please don't waste your time with "beat her ***" comments. They are obviously not helpful.

She's turning 31 this year (Aug 29th) and her second child is due the first week of September - so i would LOVE to get her something sweet and pampering for her and the baby. We don't know the sex of the baby - and we won't know until birth - so most of the gift baskets I have seen for mom-to-be birthdays seem sex based. Anyone have any great ideas?? Thanks!

I was all the time. My dad would use his belt, his hand, bash our heads together. My mom had to hide my older brother once because my dad kept beatin him up, he was 12.
My dad has threatened to kill me as well, my mom never did anything about it.He even said once that it he went to jail for beating us, when he got out, he would do it again.
Has this affected the way you parent your children? It has for me, I won't put my hands on them.

I used to have dermoid cysts on my ovaries... which were removed back in Feb. '06. I used to have my period monthly before the surgery. I have had one period since then (back in March). It's now been almost 5 months without AF... I am not pregnant but my husband and I are trying to conceive. My question is... how do I get my period regulated without the use of birth control?

today i took my 6 month old daughter to the doc today and she has a double ear infection. she has to take 4 ml of amoxicillin for 10 days. do u know how long it is gng to take for it to kick in and relieve her pain...can she take baby tylenol with it?are there any home remedies that also can help?

I'm about 3 weeks pregnant...just found out but am so scared! I am 25 years old and happily married no major health issues. We had been trying for this baby for over 1 1/2 years (I was on the pill for 5 years) so naturally I was overjoyed when the test was positive. 4 days ago I started spotting..over the past couple days it has gradually increased I am so worried because i want this baby so bad ...my dr said it is too early to tell what the spotting is an indication of. Has this happened to anyone and still gone on to have a healthy baby?
