Pregnancy & Parenting - 10 August 2006

We've been trying to have a baby and have gotten pregnant 5 times in a one year period. We have no problem conceiving but I can't seem to carry. Is there anything I can do to help my body carry a baby? Is there pills I need to go on after having a miscarriage to "clean my system out"? Is something wrong with me?

I am almost 38 weeks pregnant and I am 2 cm dilated and 50%effaced. I went to the dr yesterday and he stripped my membranes. Since then I have had mucasy stuff coming out little by little. Not sure if this is my mucas plug or not. Anyone know the percent of likeliness that my labor will start since the procedure the dr did yesterday?

There seem to be a good number of people who only answer questions with insults or unuseful comments. In fact, if you pull up their profile and view their other answers, it is obvious that they are that way to alot of people. Are these people just trying to get a rise out of others, or are they just naturaly mean nasty people? I would be embarrassed and ashamed to be catigorized that way, but some people dont seem to care. Why are people on here being so nasty? Seems like it is usually the people in the parenting and pets catagories. If you cant say something nice, dont say anything at all. Why cant you answer the question and be done with it, instead of putting people down? I mean, fine give your opinion but if you have to do it in a hateful nasty way, why bother? No one likes to be cused at or insulted. I would really like to know why this is.

i have a 4 year old son, but ive been on birth controll since he was 6 weeks old! i have not even thought that maybe i could be pregnant but i switched to the patch and when all that stuff was being said about the medical problems from useing the patch i had to switch back to the pill. I have been talking yasmin for the past few months. But I have to tell you that i have not been taking it like i should be! i keep getting my period half way threw the month and spotting! Well me and my x husband have decided to get back together and we have been having lots and lots of great make up sex! :) and i think i could be pregnant! i dont want to tell him becasue i dont want to scare him, and im sure he will be very angry! I took a test about 3 weeks ago and it was negative! I did bleed for about 3 days and now my back hurts, i have to pee all the time, my boobs are a little sore and i cant sit still! i thought maybe its a UTI! but i also had one of those when i found out i was pregnant before!

Typically each month, I get the "middle" pain on Cycle day 14, the abundant eggwhite cervical fluid on day 15, and then small amount of eggwhite fluid on days 16 and 17. I usually have a period about 12-14 days after day 15. Is that the day I'm ovulating, or is it on day 17 because I still have trace amounts of eggwhite. I know only a doctor can tell me for sure...but opinions?

I am 4 days over due today and have been 3 cm dialated for 2 weeks and 60% thinned as of 7 days ago. I am miserable. My back is keeping me from sleep of a comfortable day, I haven't felt my finger in 2 weeks from the carpel tunnel I have now, and I'm ready to see my baby! Are the chances of my doc inducing me okay or should I prepare myself for another couple weeks of misery?

I have twin neaces Cora and Chanel. They will be turning 6 on Augest 29th. I have only met them like 3 times. They are both total girlie girls and love to dress up. Would a day at Club Libby-Lu, shopping and getting our pictures taken be a good choice for a gift. Money is not really a big factor. If you dont think that is good what are some better ideas.

She was 15 at the time and he as 24. He might be the father of her 15 year old daughter. The daughter wants to know the truth. THe thing is, the truth might only make it more difficult if he has to go to jail. Is there a chance that the statute has on this has run out? Is it still punishable by law after fifteen years under Wisconsin law? BTW. It was totally consentual.

I had twins. My one daughter can count to three with no problem with objects or without. My other daughter who is three is having a hard time counting too two with objects. Im a little concerned that she might have a learninig problem. She will be four next month.

i was doing some reading and a thought popped into my head. everyday there is a some sort of question on smoking during pregnancy.

back in the 40's 50's and earlier there was a lot of smoking going on while pregnant. and mysteriously children turned out okay. nowadays, all sorts of problems are noted for smoking during pregnancy. Is it possible the reason smoking now is a problem because the chemicals in the cigarettes have changed since then? At one point it was argued that since it was okay then, it should be okay now. But after thinking about it, there's a reason for such a difference. So using that excuse to smoke during pregnancy isn't valid! what your grandma was smoking in 1928 isn't the same cigarette you are smoking now. even though i didn't smoke with my two pregnancies, i also thought the idea of smoking was not such a big thing.. .....now i'm thinking different about it. Has anyone else had this thought occur to them?

My 12 week old has had tremors in his arms and legs since his birth. Has anyone had this and figured out what caused it? we are currently waiting to see the Pediatric Neurologist. They occur many times a day and always happen when he is waking up.. (they occur other times, but guarenteed to happen when he wakes up) We've had a clear CT scan and an EEG that only showed 1 sharp wave during his sleep.
