It is illegal to abort a pregnancy after 25 weeks.

Abortion IS murder, no matter what some of these people tell you. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT SITUATION SOMEONE IS IN!!! There is always an alternative solution other than killing the baby. It's especially murder if your mother is 5 1/2 months pregnant.
Tell your mother that if she didn't want a baby, she shouldn't have been a wh*re and spread her legs without using protection.Now she has to deal with the consequences. She should be old enough to know that.
If she doesn't want or can't afford the child, put it up for adoption.

Eek! Tell you mother to fly out to california! California is one of the only states that performs abortion as late as 24 weeks (6 months). She has two weeks left! Hurry up!
Abortion is not murder. I'm tired of answering abortion questions, but I still continue to because I'm a woman, and it pisses me off to see people trying to take my rights away.
MY body, MY life, MY business, MY fetus, MY choice.
Although I do think some people are stupid for not using birth control, or taking the morning after pill, that doesn't mean they should be bringing a child into this world.
Also, sex is a beautiful, natural, pleasurable thing and anybody who says to wait until marriage is a moron. Marriage doesn't mean ANYTHING. Marriage is just a piece of paper you sign; marriage is a contract, and nothing else.
Everybody deserves to have sexual pleasure, no matter how young they are. If they are ready, let them have sex. It is nobody's business, and nobody has a right to criticise people who have sex. Yes, mistakes happen and the women becomes pregnant, that's why abortion is an option! What kind of person is going to stop having sex?! I know I can not live without sex. NO, i'm NOT some horny freak, but i love sex just like anybody else who is sexually active does. Sex is wonderful, and nobody can deny it or say they do not enjoy it.
Pro-lifers should just mind their own business already and worry about more important matters as opposed to obsessing over insignificant embryos and fetuses. Pro-lifers waste their time harassing and attacking people who have had abortions and pro-choicers just because they have different views and opinions. Pro-lifers can be accomplishing many things, but NO, they decide to waste their time getting into other peoples' business. I mean, come on, do they really think attacking abortion clinics, or praying in front of them will make a difference? They should mind their own business and get an education. "God" will not "help" them through everything. They should use their brains and stop relying on religion.
"Kill" the unwanted embryos, and fetuses!

The latest any state allows abortions is the point of viability, normally 21 to 24 weeks. She just missed that so chances are she can't. However, she should go to planned parenthood (https://www.plannedparenthood.org/pp2/portal/healthservices/makeappointment/?to=home)
to see what options are available.

In response to Celandora (below), fetal abuse laws exist in South Carolina primarily, and as horrible as it sounds, normally only apply to black crack users. If your mother is in South Carolina, leave the state immediately because she may be prosecuted. Most other states are wrinkling out the legality of these laws (they aren't really constitutional... it's complicated)

Do some research before you end a life:
At 5 months:
* Baby is 8 to 10 inches long
* Weight is about 1 pound
* Hair begins to grow on baby's head
* Soft woolly hair called lanugo will cover its body. Some may remain until a week after birth, when it is shed.
* Mother begins to feel fetal movement
* Internal organs are maturing
* Eyebrows, eyelids and eyelashes appear

This is something that shouldn't be put upon you. I'm very sorry you had to deal with this. Your mother is not making a good example to you or others. The only thing you can do now is talk to a doctor but it may be too late. There's nothing positive I can say about her and I hope that baby isn't completely screwed up.

Unfortunetly the first trimester is the cap for abortions. All though I do not personally believe in abortions, I believe it is for the mother to decide.
If your mother does not want this baby, my most loving suggestion for her is to put it up for adoption. I work at a pediatric therapy clinic and we deal with children that are handicapped due to all different things. (Autism, Down's syndrome, fetal alcohol syndrome...we even has a child who has disabilities due to incest.)
About 15% of our caseload has adoptive parents. There are so many loving wonderful families out there who desperately want children, disabled or not.
Planned or not, tell your mother this child is a blessing whether for her or for someone else, this child is wanted.

Depending on the state, it is probably too late unless you are lucky enough to live in a pro-choice state. However, depending on the health of the fetus (how bad), she may still be able to get one done. I wish you both the best of luck. i think its way too late to take a life at that age,to be honest disgusting,at 16weeks i found out my baby had a rare abnormanity and i still went on to have him and hes a absolutely beautiful baby,im presantly 3months pregnant with my 2nd pregnancy and was told last week this baby carries a high risk of having downs,i was offord a abortion and still turned it down,i believe pregnancy is such a blessing a gift from god
