Typically each month, I get the "middle" pain on Cycle day 14, the abundant eggwhite cervical fluid on day 15, and then small amount of eggwhite fluid on days 16 and 17. I usually have a period about 12-14 days after day 15. Is that the day I'm ovulating, or is it on day 17 because I still have trace amounts of eggwhite. I know only a doctor can tell me for sure...but opinions?

Basically, you're fertile if you've got the egg-white CM. So if you're trying to conceive, do your business whenever it appears.
And if your cycle is so predictable that you can say you ovulate on day 15 every month -- lucky for you!
If you want to know for sure when you're ovulating, start charting your temperatures. Stick a thermometer in your mouth every morning when you wake up, before you do anything else. You'll notice an increase of at least 0.2 degrees F after you've ovulated. After a couple of months, you'll see a pattern. And most women will also see a second spike after implantation, if they do conceive. (My cycle was never very regular, so I relied on the CM to tell me when I should be trying to conceive, and then the temperatures to tell me when I'd ovulated ... and then, finally, that I was pregnant.)

you usually ovulate for 4 days. the days you notice the "eggwhite" are the days you have the best chance of getting pregnant. check out www.webmd.com and search cervical mucus.

for most women with a "normal" cycle, it's day 14. but your chances of conceiving - meaning, your fertile days - are still high and the day or 2 before and after the 14th day, you are still fertile and can possibly conceive.

You should try charting and using OPKs (ovulation predictor kits) in conjunction to pinpoint your ovulation.

OPKs will tell you when you are about to ovulate and the charting will confirm ovulation.

I use www.fertilityfriend.com for charting (free) and www.saveontests.com for opks.
