For the 1st response on here. READ what it says. It does not say she is 15 years old it says she is 15weeks and 5days pregnant! this happens to alot of people and most of the time it doesnt harm the baby as long as you quit smoking. And some people cant just quit like you did they have to try and wean thereself off by smoking less and less untill they can quit. I think the baby will be ok but you should let the doctor know just in case.
when you have your ultrasound done make sure they look at the lungs and other organs to make sure they are developing normal!
good luck and congrats!

Smoking during pregnancy is never good. But the best thing is that you stopped!! Congratulations!!! It's not easy, I know. I am 14 1/2 weeks preggo and I quit when I was 4 weeks. There is always a risk when you smoke at any point during your pregnancy but there is definitely a higher risk for problems if you would have continued to smoke. I wouldn't worry too much. A lot of women keep up their normal daily lives the first few weeks of pregnancy- before they find out. Some of them have drank alcohol, smoked, you never know.
CONGRATS ON THE LITTLE JELLYBEAN!!

OK first of all the dumbass that aswered your question first that said "you are 15 and pregnant" CANNOT even read -- much less give you advice so listen to me. I am 14 w pregnant and i didn;t stop smoking with my first child until 5 months (yes it was stupid-but i was still a child myself (17) and i had a wonderful healthy baby boy who is now 5 years old and going strong. So don't beat yourself up about it just don;t do it any more and your baby should be fine.

Don't worry... I'm sure you're baby is just fine. I did the same thing (and drank on top of it) when I didn't know I was pregnant. I am now 37 weeks with a very healty, big baby just waiting to make her arrival.
The worrying will do more harm than the smoking could.
Best of luck with your pregnancy!!

It was a wise descision to stop smoking during your pregnancy.I congratulate you for having made the right choice.
Medically it is not recommended to smoke during pregnancy, but the actual effects are not well documented. No one will be able to tell you exactly what effects your smoking will have. The important thing is that you've stopped and are giving your baby better odds at being healthy by not smoking.
You should ignore XXCOLOURGUARD's answer. It is both stupid and judgemental.
Good luck with your pregnancy!!!

According to most pregnancy authorities the first trimester is very crucial to the child's development. It's very good that you've stopped smoking, but make sure you get great prenatal care (check ups, exercise, vitamins, eating well, etc.) until the end of your gestation. Also be honest with your doctor so they can provide you with the best care for your situation. They should be understanding and direct you to support groups (your age will also have an affect on your pregnancy) that will be able to assist you.

My mom's doctor told her it would hurt the baby (me) worse if she quit smoking, so she smoked through the whole pregnancy. This was some time ago. Someone said it stunts the kid's growth. Just think, I could have been taller. But hey, at least I'm comfortable when I fly coach.

I was about 4 weeks pg with my son when I found and quit that day. I'm sure it is fine. Did you tell your doc? I can't imagine that that small amount of smoking could have caused perm. damage. By the way good job for quitting I for one know how hard it is I quit with both my pg's. Don't worry, your baby will be fine!!

you should be ok. just try to maintain a healthy lifestyle from now till the end. from my understanding smoking leads to low birth weights and pre term delivery. so since you stop right in the begining this should not be a factor.
good luck!
I'm prego too. 18wks 3 days!(baby # 3)
