Pregnancy & Parenting - 9 August 2006

I have a verrrrrry faint blue positive line on one of the + - test but I don't see how I could be pregnant as I have an IUD. My period is not really due until tomorrow (don't ask why I'm taking the test in the first place). What do you think? Positive or is it just an error on the test?

He was a sick alot when he was small and being a single mom this was my only way of getting some sleep so I could work the next morning now I am in a rut and want my own bed back!!! P.S. I am really not willing to let him cry it out seeing as I still have to work every day.....

Please someone let me know what the chances are of the doctors being able to determine the sex of the baby through ultrasound. If anyone has any websites that can help, because i am only allowed 1 ultrasound and i don't want to waste it. I must find out if my baby is a boy or girl so i can be prepared. thank you all!

Music has always been a huge part of my life. It makes me happy when I'm sad, relaxed when I'm tense, and sometimes just allows me to get away when I don't know how I'm feeling. I also think everyone should have that "special song". I've been thinking and I came up with the idea of using a name that is also the name of a song (i.e. Mandy by Barry Manilow--I don't like the name Mandy, but you get the idea). I think that way my child will have that "special song" from the day they are born. What do you think? Is it weird or is it a nice idea? Thanks so much.

We will be going for my son's 6 month portraits soon (we're going newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 18 months & so on) to Sears, & they have their backgrounds & props & stuff, but I don't want something that everybody else has done. Does anybody have any good ideas that we could bring stuff from home or just do quickly? He sits up on his own, but cannot crawl. I'd like some functional & easy, but different ideas please. how much and how often did your newborns eat when they first came home from the hospital? I am bottlefeeding if that has any difference....my first daughter didnt come home until she was a month and a half old due to premature conditions so its like a new ballgame here in a couple weeks when I have my 2nd little girl

About 4 weeks ago I was told that I was pregnant and it was ectopic...and had passed. Then I find out now that I was pregnant both ectopically and "regularly". Im confused about how they could miss this to begin with..they said the baby in my uterus is fine...Im 11 weeks. How can you be pregnant in both places? And what are my chances of this baby surviving?

I am due in November, when I was younger I always said I would name my son Nicholas if I ever had one. Well my Aunt named her son Nicholas and he is 13 years old now. They live in Lubbock we see them once every other year or so. Then my cousin who is my age named his first son Nicholas he is 9 years old now. When his wife was pregant and thinking of boy names she asked me my favorite and I told her Nicholas well I did not know she would end up using this name. Anyways, I have a 2 year old son who I named Mason because I figured I could not use Nicholas since two people in my family have it. They are from two different sides of the family though, one is my Dads side and the other my Mom side. My cousin lives in the same town as I do but we see each other once every few months at gatherings. I am pregant with #4 and its a boy can I name him Nicholas or is that wrong since I have two Nicholas I am realated too?

My blood pressure is always in a good range but once I got pregnant it went a little higher and the doctor seemed a little concerned at my first appt. I'm not gaining a lot of weight which I know is sometimes the cause of high BP. So my question is, did you start aff with a good BP then find that it went up during pregnancy?

Ok my question is.... Is there any noticeable changes of the cervix, discharge or temperature after conception like BEFORE a pregnacy test can confirm. For example if you get the egg white discharge and you "do the deed" lol, and you conceive would the discharge stop. ANY and ALL advise PLEASE

And also my ovulation day was yesterday but didn't do any thing because hubby was at work but last night I felt pains in my left side I swear it feels like an ovary lol almost like little period cramps. I still feel them a little now. What is this.

As you all know from the past 2 days, I've been having some sort of labor but nothing enough to actually have the baby. I have a doctors appointment today and my doctors gonna ask if I want to get induced. I'm not sure b/c I heard it hurts worse then just waiting. I didn't have this problem with my first child. What are some good and bad things of being induced, and do u think I should(from personal experience)?

I am six months pregnant and I am looking for a new job. I got a call from a job that I have wanted to work at for a while. I don't know If I should address the pregnancy up fron or if I should even GO to the interview. It pays better than my job now and my family could really use the extra money.
