I looked at your last question.
Sounds to me like you're a lady who just does what she likes and deals with the consequences later. You always get your own way??
Poor hubby. I bet he's seething. There's only so many times you'll get away with this sort of behaviour before he blows!
You've given too much power to your son. He will wrap you 'round his little finger. Draw the line quick before you're a single parent.
It's always easy to crticise someone else, but sometimes you can't see problems within as it's hard to be objective, especially where children are concerned.
No nastiness intended. Just a wise older woman trying to help.(!)

Er strong and important tip girl..
Dig a big hole for the trampoline, so not so high off the actual ground and put a lot of padding around the sides over a wide area for when he bounces off... its a lot less grief then broken limbs or spines
Thats paddying or safety nets over a WIDE area its only good if the kid does not clear it.
And another tiop... rig it so you pan put a padlocked board over it and keep the key so it can't be used there when you aint there to superive if the net fails... Also a whilst of some means he can get attention if hurt...
hopefull it wont be needed with a good enough net and padding...
Also you can get materal to go betwenn the springs so say no leg one side, leg the other, spring in the middle after a high jump ... ouuuuuuuchhh. no worries about girlfriends fo a while and note cover with padding the metal bar around it

If you both talk, and agree that it isn't a good time yet...tell your son. Explain that sometimes Mommy's and Daddy's make mistakes too. Let him know that he can have one later on, but you just don't think it's a good idea yet. Mommy, you should be the one to tell him that way he knows it's that you changed your mind, and not that dad talked you out of it.
If you decide to get one, make sure you follow all the rules - must have adult supervision, must not have more than one person at a time, must not try to do "tricks"...etc.
My brothers and I had one, none of us were hurt, but our parents set strict rules on acceptible behavior and if those rules were broken, we lost the priviledge to jump for a set amount of time. They wrote down these rules ahead of time, with the corresponding punishment for disobedience, and we almost never broke the rules because we knew exactly what the rules were, and exactly what would happen if we broke them.

My husband was against my daughters getting one also he would not let me get them one no matter what. His two front teeth got broken out when he was younger on one and always thought they were dangerous. One Christmas my brother bought them one for their present, it came with all the padding and safety nets. We have had it for almost two years and they have never gotten hurt on it. My two year old son loves it too! It was the best thing we ever got for them they still love it.
I think as long as you supervise your son while he is on it , it should not be a problem. If your husband says no and you get one anyways your husband will be upset and you will leave the msg with your son that no matter what Daddy says Mommy can always over ride him.

If you do get him one, get a safety net to go around it. The Man, you can end up paralyzed from doing pretty much anything.
