I'm not sure how you feel, but as you can tell quite a few people like RAYA but not SUNSHINE. I have to admit that I do agree with them when they say the child will be teased as she gets older.
Maybe they should name her RAYA with a different middle name and eventually nickname her raya sunshine.

It's cute for a baby...but as your child grows she is going to be teased A LOT. I wouldn't do it. Raya is pretty but lose the Sunshine unless you want your kid to come home sobbing every day from school.

Cute, but way too hippie. That poor little girl will get teased forever, and she will hate her name. Raya is great, but Sunshine is not a name.

I think it would be a horrible name for this child. Although "cute" to the adults involved, and perhaps true meaning of what the child is to them, would you want to grow up with a name like that? The child is guaranteed to be teased, unless they live in a totally '70s community. Sorry for the upset.
