Pregnancy & Parenting - 4 August 2006

OK, I'll keep this short and easy. I've been back on birth control since January. My b/f and I don't use condoms, which is why I'm asking this. Oh, and no flames plz, this is serious! I got my period last month(Jul 27th) and it was a little lighter than normal. Not horribly light but enough that I noticed. It was about 4 days long, and normal length for me is 5-6 days. I haven't taken a test yet, but I have pregnancy symptoms even though I got my period. Nausea, headache, fatigue, smell sensitivity, etc. I'm still on my B.C now(orth tri-cyclen lo), what should I do....besides take a test, I know that, i'm just scared to. What do you guys think, help and advice much apperciated!!

I am 37 weeks as of yesterday and I have had contractions since last night. I feel nauseated and really tired. I have a horrible headache and backache. The contractions are sporatic but very uncomfortable. Could I be in labor?

I always have irregular periods.The last day of my last period was June 6... I had light pink bleeding a couple of days ago... And I have been having alot of nausea.. How long should I wait before taking a pregnancy test since I usually have irregular periods??? I need more advice... Please!

My son is almost nine months and has one testicel that has not dropped. The doctor said it's there but just hasn't dropped yet. He also said that if it hasn't dropped by his first birthday he will need to have surgery to correct it. What are the chances that it will drop by then? And if it doesn't is it a major surgery? Tell me what you know about this please, and only if you really know.

I posted a question reguarding my toddler. I was checking my email and ran acroos this site. I figured I would post a question I had and answer afew. The answers I got were terrible I was told my toddler was "retarded" and various other answers. I thought this was about helping people not insulting them. What did that accomplish by insulting a child? My son is not retarded he was very sick at birth and barely lived. He is a bit behind and wanted to check with other moms to see where there children were at. If you feel better to insult my baby you are a sad person. Thank you to the people who gave me ther beautiful stories and words of advise I am grateful. I guess my question is? Is this what this site is like a place for people to insult others? Because I dont think im coming back I would rather pay a visit fee to the doctar for my questions.

From day one, my baby has cried hysterically whenever we bathe her. (Even during her sponge baths the first 2 weeks!) We now bathe her in an infant/toddler tub that has a baby sling to support her. She doesn't mind the warm water running over her too much, but screams and cries through the rest of the process.

We tried bathing her in the sink, putting a warm washcloth on her chest while we bathed the rest of her, putting soft towels down in the tub, using a "soothing" aromatic baby wash, putting a space heater in the bathroom for bath time, and ditching the infant sling.

Still, she wails from the instant her toe hits the water until long after she's dried, lotioned, and clothed.

Any SERIOUS suggestions on how to make this process less of an ordeal? It's become a necessary ritual that both I AND baby dread!

you puff and then blow the smoke right in their faces I just don't understand. If you smoke ok but why do you around your pets, kids or babies? If your with child you still smoke and when the baby comes out with all sort of medical probloms you cry and complain to god why did my child come out like this? hello because of you. get angry I don't care you need to wake up into reality and I can't stand to see you parents killing your children. just don't smoke around them, it's that easy go smoke away from them!!!!! I dare you to get angry and why would you because you know what I am saying is true? kill yourself if you want not the children or pets please!!! this is enough!!!! and to you parents that smoke but away from your kids and pets thank you so much and god bless you!!!! at least you people care. just don't smoke around the kids it's that easy. second hand smoke kills people please spread the word. and don't litter with your cigarette butts either they don't disinigrate!

My son is autistic and tends to wander off. It is usually easy to find him, and get him to come back, but sometimes he goes far and we have to call in help. He is not very verbal, and is very adventurous. He doesn't always come when you call him. I just don't want to lose him for good. By the way, he's nine.
