I have been told two different things... if a father gives up all parental rights to his baby will he still have to pay child support?

No if he gives up all parental rights that means he can never see the baby again so he woulden't have anything to do with it so practically it's like he never was there if he gives his rights up which can be a good thing and a bad thing but im sure you'll know what to do good luck and Godbless

By law he cannot give up his parental rights unless some other guy is ready to adopt, like if you were to get married. The courts will not allow a man to give up his rights because that child still needs to be supported.

if a father gives up his parental rights then no hes free of obligations to that child if the child is being adopted by another


your best bet is to check with the local child protective services or the attorney generals office of child support
