I posted a question reguarding my toddler. I was checking my email and ran acroos this site. I figured I would post a question I had and answer afew. The answers I got were terrible I was told my toddler was "retarded" and various other answers. I thought this was about helping people not insulting them. What did that accomplish by insulting a child? My son is not retarded he was very sick at birth and barely lived. He is a bit behind and wanted to check with other moms to see where there children were at. If you feel better to insult my baby you are a sad person. Thank you to the people who gave me ther beautiful stories and words of advise I am grateful. I guess my question is? Is this what this site is like a place for people to insult others? Because I dont think im coming back I would rather pay a visit fee to the doctar for my questions.

I didn't see your original question or the answers you got. I'm so sorry that you were subjected to such immature and obviously heartless behavior. People that do such things have no real friends or real life, that is why they are on the computer responding to things they'll never comprehend.
I can understand why you were seeking out support from others. My daughter was born at 25 weeks and at the time, I needed to hear what other children her age were doing. She's 4 years old now, with Cerebral Palsy. If you are in need of support, I can recommend a great support group for parents of children with special needs and disabilities. Just remember, those who answered you in that fashion are not fit to be parents of special children like ours. They could not face the situation with a QUARTER of the strength it takes to be the parents of a child with special needs. They wouldn't last 10 seconds in our shoes. When I think of it that way, I thank God that WE are the ones who were chosen to have our precious children from God. Those "others" would never be chosen, they are too selfish and too limited in their basic understanding of love and acceptance. I shudder to think of what they would do with a child that is less than perfect.

the nerve of some people to call someones elses kid that name is mind boggling i fell sorry for thier children know telling what thye get called some peeps just have minds of a snail and u have to exscuse them, no all the people on this site are not bad this seems so far to b an alright place , good luck with ur child and know that some kids just take a little longer to achieve the so called goals of childhood just like every pregnancie is diff so is every child if to concerned about it then sure ask the dr always follow the motherly instinct

ok, not sure what your original question was...but yes unfortunately there are rude people out there/here.. some just take our questions as joke and don't realize that this is a human being on the other end of the computer who truly wants to know an answer!

You clearly have had a bad experience on here and that isn't good you mentioned however that you would rather pay for a "visit fee to the doc for my questions" well...this is TRUE...
Do you realize that you are asking quetions about your chlds wellbeiing on a bulletin...?/website?/ blog?/Questions and Answers site? We are not dr.s....nor are we professionals...some are sure....but the majority is just people giving advice and not medical assurance as you would get thru your actual pediatrician!!!!
and .If i haven't said it already..yes people are definietley quite rude on here...but HeY...don't take it persoanlly!!! Lots' of People love to be bold and callous behind a computer miles and miles away!!!

There is always a few that try to ruin it for the rest of us. I am so sorry about your experience. I posted a question about my teen being disrespectful, and I few answers questioned my qualifications to even have kids in the first place. It was very hurtful. I didn't read your original question, but I am sure your baby is just fine, and thank God, he is alive!! I almost lost my son as an infant, too. Hang in there.

Sweetie, you have to realize, on this site you get people of all ages from all over the world with differing viewpoints and education. Some people are just doing it for the points. Some people do not have the mental capacity to answer intelligently. When you ask any question on this site, be aware of this. You are opening yourself up to not only good answers, but bad answers as well. It is up to you to decide for yourself which answer,(if any), is the best one for your situation.

i am sorry to hear you have encountered rude people on this site. but you will find that anywhere you go some people just don't have the smarts to know when real questions and concerns are posted. i look at this site is for help too and have to look pass all the insults and jerks too. sorry to hear that they insulted your child maybe they are the ones who are "retarded" and as far as your question goes. don't worry to much he will catch up in time and maybe help from a child therapist to help your child catch up.

Aww.. I'm so sorry to hear that, and it's disgusting that someone would say those things about your son. I have a nephew that because of hospital error at birth, now has CP and I would be angry if someone called him retarded. I hope you find out what it is you need to know, and that your son gets the best doctors and treatment.

sweetie, where ever there are nice, caring ppl, rude dumb@$$es will follow. forget the stupid remarks and dont glorify the idiots by being insulted. also, it is sometimes hard to tell if the questioner is serious or not, some ask degrading questions to be "cute" or "funny", so if you run into any of those, feel free to give it rite back to them! i missed your first question, but i have 4 babes ranging in ages from 7mos-5yrs, so feel free to im or email me! i'll be on vacation until the 11th, but i will get back to you!!!

I have seen that alot also with some of the questions that I have asked... i have just decided to ignore the idiots out there just wanting to get the points for answering the question...you can also report them like I usually do...there are alot of childish people out there but they will get the karma comming to them!
