I wouldn't say there's an average age per couple because of the single parent percentage in this country. Most people are having their first child before the age of 21, which is kind of sad.

My husband and I were both in our 30's when we had out first. But I would guess the average age would be around 25.

For the year 2000's it's early 20's (wow that's young). Not much different from 30 years back if ya look at the records.

My sister just had a baby. She is 22 and her husband is 24. They have been married for a little over a year.
