4 1/2 months ago we got a nice suprise and found out we are pregnant with our 2nd. child. My in-laws have being trouble from the time my son was born. Mom-in-law left our son, Jason outside in his stroller outside a store when he was 6 weeks old. And she told me that she didn't feel the need to bring him in. It was to much trouble. From that moment on we don't allow her to be alone with our son at all. ( He will be 3 on the 17th) When we found out that we were prenant with our 2nd she told me point blank to get an abortion and called the next week to see if we "got rid of it!" Now she wants to come up for my son's 3rd b'day. And mom & dad-in-law want to have him by themselves the next day. I feel that they don't deserve it.

What are your thoughts??? Should I just allow them to do what they want as grandparents? Or should I just tell them that they are welcomed to come up but, they will not be allowed to be "alone" with any of our kids again.
what would you do?

I raised my two kids alone. Her father very controlling and abusive and dont know about her lesbian lifestlye. She doesn't have a friendship with her dad. I do not have not knowlege in this area. I have prayed and ask God for guidance. She lives at home with me, her mom and, she is respondable and don't take drugs. We have a fairly good relationship but, when i talk to her about this lifestyle is wrong, she doesn't want to listen. She is private about her relationship. My question is: do i let this young lady is she dating, be a part of our lives? family gatherings and at home relaxing etc... thank you for your advice and knowledge /experience and prayer for my daughter.

I'm wondering if any parents have some personal insight into something called oppositional defiance disorder?
My little boy has text-book ADHD; has been doing really well on meds (we actually cut his dose in 1/2 over the last couple years).
But the last few months, he has become almost completely unmanageable. I thought maybe it was d/t the fact that my ex (with whom I had maintained a good friendship!!) moved to Texas & barely contacts the kid.
His behavior isn't like the ADHD stuff---it's so completely different than his 'normal' personality (which has always been sweet & kindhearted).
Anyway, long story short, a friend gave me some info on this ODD, & it really seems to describe his behavior.
I'm not anxious to categorize him or throw yet another label on him, but it really seems to make sense.
I can look up facts & such on-line; but if any parents could give some more personal input, etc. I'd appreciate it.

Sure, the kids should be learning from us. But let's face it, parenting puts a different perspective on your life. What have you learned?

What should it say for a babysitter trying to find work to baby sit kids. you dont have to put colors or pictures in, but please make capitals and titles, and new lines when needed. say where the phine number should be and stuff like that.

the reason for this is that im helping a girl make her flyer and i dont really know how to word and place everything to seem like we tried to hard or anything.

some more info.
she has her cpr degree for children and infants and a first aid certificate so you can add this info.
