Pregnancy & Parenting - 4 August 2006

I'm 17 years old and I am proud to say I'm a teen daddy, and I am engaged to my babys mother, becuase we are inlovee.

My fiance' is sick lately, and I'm taking care of my daughter, while I tend to my fiance's every need.

By proven tests, my daughter has a weak immune system,
she finally fell asleep in her crib,
she ran a small fever, and i ran her to the doctor.
he said she's fine just keep her warm, and he prescriped a medicine.

She usually can fall asleep in her crib,
but she's sick so she falls asleep on my chest
on the couch, cause i keep her away from her mom whiles her moms sick.

What can I do to make her feel better.
She also's really misses her mommy, and she constantly cries, but when she see her through the door she stops. What should I do?

And from experience, tell me how to handle this.

You puff and puff and puff but do you ever think about how your kids or pets are feeling!!!! I have athsma but no one in my family smokes and the first time I got an athsma attack I felt like i was in hell, I had tightness in my chest and I was trying to breath but nothing was going in. so how do you think your kids feel? do you even care!!! I can't take your **** no more!!!! STOP SMOKING AROUND THE KIDS!!!!! **** up your own life and health if you want but not theirs!!! go smoke somewhere else and leave the poor childrens health alone please!!! someone has to spread the word and since nobody is I think I'll start and I may only be 13 but I am not stupid enough to endanger a poor kids health like you!!! and don't litter with your cigarette butts either please they don't disinigrate and you are poluting our planet!!! Spread the word people please SECOND HAND SMOKE KILLS!!!!! It gives children athsma too and it's a cronic disease means you'll have it for life!!! god bless!

I use a flyswater if she breaks a rule or piss's me off WACK I HIT HER on the butt till shes says she wont do it again if she does WACK 10 Swats, She breaks it again 20 Swats on the bottom and so on, What do you do? She hasent broke a rule in 2 mothes

O.K. the jocks in my grade have messed with me every since my freshman year (high school) and still mess with me but not as bad. I am entering my junior year. Class of '08! I am a nerd and I already have low self esteem and when they make fun of me (pretty much a daily bases) that makes me feel even smaller and nothing. Why are they so rude to me? I'm 17, yes, I'm a teen dad, I'm engaged to my babys mother, not for the sake of our baby, but because I love her.
My fiancee hasn't been feeling well lately, so I'm taking care of my daughter.
She just fell asleep, for the time being and I have some questions.

First of all, she's 5 months old.

She ran a small fever, I took her too the doctor,
its nothing bad, but we have to be careful, because my daughter has a weak immune system and we have to keep her warn and when I wrap her in a blanket, and she cries and throws a fit. I have to keep her warm, but she refuses, what should I do ?

Is it a bad habitat to start with my daughter is she sleeps in the bed with me and my fiancee will she's sick ?

And one more thing,
just I need advice on how to raise her properly.


And before you say anything, I have a job, I dropped out of school to raise her, but I do plan on going back. We live in a villa apartment in massapequa new york, and we give her everything we can.

Our next door neighbor has a 6 yr old daughter. He has sole custody, but his mother ends up taking care of her 99% of the time because he's either working or with his girlfriend. I had suspected that she was often left alone at home, but tonight I witnessed it firsthand. The grandmother left the house alone. Then the father pulled up in his truck about 2 hours later, and the young girl came outside. I feel so bad for this little girl.

My parents hate my boyfriend and we aren't suposed to be seeing each other, I don't know how to tell my parents im pregnant. Not only that but my boyfriend wants me to get an abortion because he said he's scared and wants the easy way out. My son had some friends over this afternoon, 3 boys. The youngest 3, the middle 6 and the oldest is around 9 i think. Well they have been over before but the last time they all got into trouble for playing with gas, I told their mom and we talked to them about how dangerous it was and to never do it again. Well today the same boys came over and they were playing for a while outside and then came in and went downstairs. (Don't think I mentioned, my oldest son is 6.) I was upstairs with my 11 month old feeding him supper, never really thought about checking on the older boys. Well it got really quite so I went downstairs to make sure they were ok. The oldest friend was sitting on the couch and i asked him were all the younger boys were and was like i don't know, well the bathroom door was shut so i opened it and went it. to my surprise my sons friends the 6 year old and the 3 year old had their pants off and the 6 year old was behind the 3 year old rubbing himself on him. I was in shock.

My son is 16months old and is not talking yet he once said mama and once said dada but thats it he does not babble or make any attemp to talk is this normal or is something wrong?

I know this is going to sound confusing, but bear with me. My husband has a daughter who was adopted by his mom and step-dad who is seven. The thing is he doesn't actually know she is actually his or his best friend's. Everyone knows this except of course except his daughter. My daughter who is eight asked me if my husband is really the seven year old's dad. My husband and I are very honest with our children who live with us. I told her, hindsight, I realize that I shouldn't have. I told her that it wasn't her place to tell her and that in time she will be told by her adoptive parents. Well that went out the window.
