Ok how many think that bush is a bad president? I think he is . he only started this war so he could have another year in the White House right? He keeps saying that he is going to bring the troops home but that will never happen. He is leaving this war so the next persident can clean it up

And treason and planning the 911 "terrorist" attacks?

I am not bashing liberals and democrats, and I am not here to insult your views or opinions. I am simply asking a reasonable question that I feel deserves reasonable answers. So let's see if you can answer my questions with the standard Bush-bashing I have seen much too often......

Quite simply, what is the democrat's / liberal's plan to achieve victory against international terrorism? What is the plan for achieving victory in Iraq? Or is complete withdrawl and retreat the only option you see for us at this point? Again, I am not trying to insult anybody. But so far I have yet to hear any actual PLANS for doing a better job of fighting terrorism or actually WINNING in Iraq. So if any of you have an actual plan, I'm giving you the chance to explain what that plan is. Thanks!

He tell the foriegn press this
“It has not worked out as we had hoped,” the general said

“Many of us had hoped this summer would be a time of tangible political progress at the national level,” Petraeus wrote. “All participants, Iraqi and coalition alike, are dissatisfied by the halting progress on major legislative initiatives,” he wrote.

but tells the American press this
“Based on the progress our forces are achieving, I expect to be able to recommend that some of our forces will be redeployed without replacement,” he told the Boston Globe by email on Friday…. “Few of these political solutions would have been possible without the improved security provided by coalition and Iraqi forces.”

Todd describes the U.S. as a "superpower living hand to mouth," led by a ruling class "even more rudderless and clueless than its European counterparts," and incapable of achieving its global aims through repeated applications of "theatrical micromilitarism." Todd argues that the disintegration of American hegemony already is in full swing, and he predicts that the Bush American Administration and its neocon theorists "will go down in history as the gravediggers of the American empire."

Great powers (such as the Habsburg, French, Turkish, Dutch, Spanish, Russian, British, Japanese, Soviet, and eventually American Empires) get in the habit of using military force to protect what they view as their broad economic interests, but in doing so, they divert investment from productive social and economic purposes into nonproductive military ends.

If you said 'Yes' then I offer you this opportunity . And before I go any further I must ask that if you have an issue that you'd like to ask or see answered by me , then go ahead and spend 5 points like I did and ask .

Now let's talk . As you're probably aware , the NY Times has a full page political ad directly besmirching the integrity of General Petraeus . Something like 'Petraeus or Betray Us' . A sick-minded effort directly implying that 4 star General Petraeus would or could be a traitor . There's no other way to portray this because if he lies then he is a traitor . And didn't the dems unanimously approve him ?

But here's the kicker. . . . . Petraeus hasn't even given his review yet and no one knows for sure exactly what he'll say .

And just exactly when did it become Patriotic to bash a man , a 4-Star General mind you , before he even speaks his own mind ?

Will You Ever Again Trust The People Responsible For That Ad ?

Do mainstream democrats feel comfortable being in a party that has taken so much money from people like George Soros that he announced last November that he OWNED the democratic party. People like Soros who have taken out an ad in the New York Times where they called a hero General Betrayus. People who will have a debate in a gay forum, a hispanic forum, and a Internet forum but will obey orders and not appear on the Fox News Channel. People will announce a week ahead of time that the contents of the Petraeus Report will not be accepted no matter what he says. People whose rhetoric perfectly matches the words of Osama Bin Laden's latest video tape. Can you really feel comfortable with your position and bedmates? I would really like to know why you accept the Democratic party as it is.

Clinton left office with an approval rating of 65%, the highest of any modern president, and remains the only modern president to leave office with a higher approval rating than he had when he took office.

The other question is...if the issue at hand is whether the USA should continue our involvement in Iraq, why are we waiting for a general to tell us if its time to leave or not? I ask this given the fact that our mission there was to go look for WMD and nukes which we never found. So not only did we never produce the proof that our invasion was valid (the WMD existing..and the threat justify the amount of force), but what is our mission now? when did it change from the dangerous WMD?. We all know we are no longer looking for WMD and nukes anymore.

Did you watch the Democratic debate on Univision last night? The questions were asked in Spanish! The candidates had to stand there and wait for the English translation. To say that everyone of them looked awkward was an understatement.
